My hearing still isn't back to normal (but it is better.) If Ludwig van Beethoven could compose completely deaf then who am I to complain about a slight loss. And, besides, I wanted to end this enforced vacation and get back to my vocation.
NOTE: This is the 'lite' version--the 'full' version will be up soon. (Minutes, not days.)
NOTE NOTE: This was written as one track but the whole piece was too long and wasn't accepted for upload (40 minutes and 48 seconds in length) so I had to cut it up into four sections to get it to go--it's now reduced to approximately 28 minutes length in total (I obviously shortened it--I cut seven minutes from the fourth movement alone--but kept in the main themes) but hopefully it still makes sense when all four tracks are listened to one after the other--and they do say that sometimes less is more. ;-) And, of course, I'll file away the complete original--maybe one day it will be heard the way it was meant to be.
The Original 40 Minute Length Setup:
An old man looks out over the land towards the horizon, bright rays of sunshine stab here and there through the dark, gathering clouds. "Storm-a-comin'," the man says to his grandson.
"What kind of storm, Grandpa?" asks the boy.
"Can't likely reckon--but those clouds are real dark."
(The piano/keyboard parts in 'Storm-A-Comin' portray a late-escaping vehicle having motor problems--which forces a convoy of other men, women and children fleeing towards the safety of the next town (called Insanity Woo) to leave without them. The occupants of the motor stay behind to fix the vehicle that contains all the possessions they could gather up in time.)
Throughout the piece you can hear the sound of other, faster, escaping vehicles racing passed the slower convoy.
The question is, will the loner be fast enough, reliable enough or will they be overtaken (like so many others) by what is advancing from the rear? (Denoted by the drum themes.)
The chase is on. The 'storm' has arrived...

Please stay courteous and be sincere (for good and bad!). It can be an interesting read for others, but only if it is constructive and doesn't disparage the artist.
Please write about the music itself and don't be too hard on the sound quality of some demos.
