About this album

  • Updated: 19/09/2011

New Horizons.

My 4th album is more dedicated to relaxing the mind and is the continuation of my previous work "One Life".

I hope you will enjoy the energy/work I have put into my latest album, the album will again guide you to a journey of relaxation with a few exceptions of styles in "Overcome" and "Loss Control" to show that I also compose in other styles but for those who listend to my previous work already know this, "Ignorance" has also a important message inside.

All samples that are used are royality free and bought, others come from my Korg Workstation and Yamaha motif synthesisers, also thanks to voices from Sophie Paul/Stacy Thunes Krieger/Paul Mac.. that i used in this album, also royality free and bought !

Finally I would like to dedicate this album to my best friend and my mother, the two who I love most in my life !

Patrick I would go through fire for you and I know you would do the same for me.
Mother I love you and I know there will come a time when I have to let you go, but that time is still far away 71 needs to become +80 at least :)

Have fun and till my 5th album due early 2012,
Steven Van den Heuvel aka Synthirius

Perfekcyjne i profesjonalne... Jednak całość albumu niespójna. Utwóry: Loss control i - Overcome - są zupełnie niepotrzebne, nie pasują mi do całej reszty, zaniżają ogólną ocenę. Mój faworyt: Winter in Belgium. pozdrawiam i zapraszam do mnie Krzychu

Jazzy . . "New Horizons" . . the first title . . captivated me, and kept me tuned with its lovely piano and wind blowing through me . .. like a gust of mystery it gave me chills . . . and those sparkling bell-ish sounds that trailed like the tail of a comet . . . gorgeous . . . this song was like a sky painting . . . mesmerizing with beauty. Replete with melodic sounds, instruments of every hue, nature song, voice, . . . the music is eclectic art . . . simply compelling, and alluring in its beauty, nuances and interesting aspects . . . The artist used sound as a weaver uses the loom and thread. .. to add color, vision, story, texture, depth and ear appeal . . . I was quite captivated . . . and snared by this album . …this style of music is one of my favorites . . and rather than call it new age or instrumental . . I would call it eclectic . . . since it involves a creative and especially interesting usage of samples . . . and above all . . it's poetic in style with so many parts to think about . . and once thought through and listened to with the whole heart and mind . . . you can listen to it as a method to relax . . . Although, I must admit . . that every time I listen I hear something new . .. to make me think. I think this musician has an exceptional talent. He knows how to make the music flow. Its hard to pick a favorite . . . maybe "Dream Bubbles" with its revolving sound effects . . . flute, and mermaid-ish voice. . . simply beautiful.
