The quartet Oprachina has taken the first steps during recent editions of “Along Came Jazz, Research In Italy” organised in Tivoli and Rome.
The group is formed by Massimo Bognetti, guitarist; Errico De Fabritiis, saxophonist; Fabio Fochesato, bassist and drummer Adriano Galinari.
Their repertoire consists of original compositions where the approach is jazz element connecting between the parties in writing, obliged, and improvised.
The first work is entitled “The Jazz Farm” and you can listen here entirely and download it freely on jamendo.com.
Oprachina has completed a second album that expects to be published.

Great album! All tracks are great, but "Le Fiabe Da Brno" sounds special for me. Thank you for "The Jazz Farm"!

Irgendwann hab ich mich mal vom Großteil meiner Jazzsammlung getrennt. Zu selten bin ich in der Stimmung, mir freie Improvisationen von Tonkonserven anzuhören. Und die meisten selbsternannten Jazzrock-Scheiben waren irgendwann einfach nur noch langweilig. Lediglich Meisterwerke wie einige Platten von Weather Report (und natürlich der gesamte Swing und "Ur-"Jazz blieben bei dem Anfall verschont. Dabei können Jazzplatten einen durchaus die Musik der Wahl sein, wenn man Zeit und Ruhe für lange Entwicklungen von Melodielinien und rhythmischen Verschiebungen hat.
Wie sie etwa das italienische Quartett Oprachina auf seinem Album The Jazz Farm präsentiert. Gitarre und Saxophon spielen sich in Titeln wie Porta D'Arce Ideen zu, die sich im Umfeld des Modern Jazz befinden. Doch dann gibt es auch wieder Ausbrüche in freiere Gefilde, die jeden Fahrstuhlbesitzer in den Wahnsinn treiben dürften. Und dann gibt es noch wilde Gruppenimprovisationen wie "Nitro", die die Fahrstuhlfahrer in Extase versetzen könnten auf Grund der wahnwitzigen Geschwindigkeit, in der die Melodien dahinfliegen und sich immer aufs neue verzweigen. Wer allerdings auf Jazzfunk, Dancefloor-Jazz oder ähnlich tanzbare Varianten steht, dürfte hier enttäuscht werden. Das ist ein abgeschlossener Fall für die Jazzpolizei. Es gibt keine Anzeichen für eine Anbiederung an tanzwütige Hörer.

Un trabajo muy bien elaborado en cuanto a musicalidad se refiere,no obstante parece requerir una nueva remasterización.Exceptuando esto último que es algo salvable sin duda,nos encontramos ante un gran trabajo que merece ser escuchado atenta y tranquilamente,sin influencias externas,como merece ser tratada la buena música.

Muzyka raczej koncertowa więc ciężko mi się tego słucha w odcięciu od atmosfery sali koncertowej.
Jak dla mnie Fat-fast wypada w tym sterylnym medium jakim jest komputer najlepiej. Komputer niestety nawet z najlepszymi głośnikami nie jest w stanie przenieść prawdziwych wibracji takiej muzyki.

Siguiendo las corrientes del Jazz de ayer y ahora, este sin duda es un buen ejemplo de sentir el genero, interpretarlo y ponerle corazon.

Perfectly executed.
There are so many emotions and mindsets portrayed on this album. love, happiness, excitement, mystery, peace, perhaps even grief or sadness.
I think “Fat-fast” and “The Moon In August” are great.
Some tracks remind me of UFO (United Future Organisation ), so if you liked them I think you will like this.

Un piacevole album jazz. Il primo brano "Porta d'Arce" è stupendo .... una full-immersion nel qui ed ora(10). "Fat-fast" suona veloce e piacevole(9). "Attimi" torna ad essere intima ed intensa(10). "Le fiabe da Brno" è molto particolare l'inizio e la fine racchiudono il segreto di un racconto(9). "Grigioscuro" è malinconica e serena ... con un finale a cui non manca la parola(9). "Torti" è grave di pensieri(9). "Blu" è un gioco di melodie deliziose(10). "The Moon In August" è piacevole(8) come anche "Nitro" che chiude l'album(8). A pleasant jazz album. The first song "Porta d'Arce" is wonderful .... a full-immersion in the here and now (10). "Fat-fast" playing fast and pleasant (9). "Attimi" returns to be intimate and intense (10). "Le fiabe da Brno" is very particular, the beginning and end enclose the secret of a story (9). "Grigioscuro" is melancholic and serene(9). "Torti" is serious thoughts (9). "Blue" is a game of delightful melodies (10). "The Moon In August" is pleasant (8) as well as "Nitro" that closes the album(8).
