"My 2008 album Oh My made me realize how much I truly loved giving my music away.
I loved not having money be a barrier to hear my music. At the end of the day, I just want people to listen."
Sean Fournier, from Middletown, Connecticut, knows the true value of sharing music. For this year, he came up with an innovative project to share his new songs:
Since January 2012, he has been releasing a song every month for free. Each song has a different colored bracelet that goes with it that people can purchase. Wearing the bracelets not only support the project, but act as a reminder to come back next month for another free song! At the end of the year, he's going to have 12 songs, enough for a full-length album: he would like to be able to make an actual tangible album called Brace Yourself... that he can give away for free, of course!
