Great instrumental, hard-to-pigeonhole, rock- oriented songs that aren't quite rock. Post-rock IS I guess the best descriptor. Some songs have a distinct postpunk flavor such as the frantic, crushing "Orb", while others, like the drumless "B-Movie" are plangent beauties. "Eternal Sunshine" recalls the early work of Disco Inferno (the band). I seem to hear a slight Police influence in the guitars (a good thing), otherwise this is pretty singular. Really good stuff, hope there's more soon.
Strangely true, another great collaboration between Josh Woodward and Sean Wright in this compelling, irresistible,mesmerising-ly powerful,album heard here tonight by me. And all I can say is wow..I was blow away, yet ones more. I was touched and heartfelt, by the beautiful lyrics of human emotions and the hurts and pains, let alone downfalls that become and happen between lovers, soul mates, friends husbands and wives.I felt the power and the awesome magnitude of the lyrics. play hell with my heart and mind, let alone soul. And their bewitching voices, just resonated inside my head and heart, let alone ears. As they sang so to perfection, with each and every lyrics they sang..And I loved the acoustic, instrumental,stirring, atmospheric-al, admiral, inter grated, engaging music heard, that was in true harmony - flow to their vocals, moods, lyrics and everything.. Bravo Guys.. I curtsy and give thanks to an epic collaboration of minds, hearts and souls...
Ps The two of you are like a perfect heavenly match made on earth.. You just seem to glow and give so much to us the listener and to each other as artist and creative musicians in general. More power to you both..
1st track, light, dream, made me smile and feel warm all over...lovely rhythmical, piano music, that made me think of sunshine and love..romantic walks in the park, holding hands..
2nd track, interesting, experimental, upbeat, intriguing, funny and strangely bizarre sounding at times to me, checking it out, but I enjoyed it.Showed great use of creativity and skill.. And unique style expressed.
3rd track. dramatic, daring, wilder sounding, had depth and darkish passion to it. Yet romantic overtones to the musical expression felt in it. Nice done with grace and style..
4th track, elegant, simply piano tunes, that where minimal, experimental, dramatic, stylish and exotic to taste at times as well. Showed class and artistic-al flare as well.
5th track.. minimal, soft, gentle piano music. comforting, yet could be dramatic, and daring to the senses even darkish.. fantastic balance between both expressed and executed to perfection heard...
This was like a sound and vision, movie thriller, thought provoking,interesting, compelling,fun, exciting, experience. where the sounds of music,vocals, exploded inside your mind, and you saw great images come into your minds eye and it took you exploring, into these three great tracks. Each having a different view, feelings coming from them. Loved every minute..
Exquisite and well expressed, and good uses of skills and talents are heard, on this delightful, charismatic, ballads,sound-scapes of compelling, irresistible,bewitching,acoustic, electric,instrumental,experimental dreamy,soothing,exciting even,exotic,very easy to enjoy, let alone to be so entertained by, as you sit back, and saviour this delightful album in general.
The ladies vocals on this album are sultry, soothing, yet comforting, warm and heartfelt, beautiful, on my heart and mind, as she sings. I feel compelled to listen to her melodic-al tones, delight and give me pleasure as she sings. The music was fitting and wrapped around her sweet, really nice voice.. Good girl, made me want to cry, as she sang this so perfect, so composed and just so right. I felt the emotions run across my heart, as the words she sang, drift straight to my heart.. This Lady oozes beauty from within that comes straight out across the music as you just sit back and simply listen to her sing.. Heavenly, mesmerising-ly, awesome music and vocals, wrapped neatly inside a flawless album.. Thank you for your voice and music..
Beautiful, modern, interpretation of Christmas and holiday songs, that will warm your heart and make your soul smile. Let alone lift you mood and be more appreciative of Christmas and life in general,and it's true meaning to us, mere mortals on earth.Very relaxing, comforting and loving, compassionate feelings flow from this beautiful, inviting, smooth, very stylish, elegant,light and breeze, music was compelling male and female vocals heard performing on it. And the music is perfect for that snuggles up times, in bed with your love, as the snow falls down outside and the cold breath of winter chills the night air.. You cuddle and kiss, under the bed covers lapping up this gorgeous, cool, interesting, pleasing, entertaining, brilliant, sound-scape of musical pure delight.
Some great things come out of CCMixter. This is a collection a little bit on the edgy side and out of the ordinary. Interesting, syncopated and coffee-shopesque. Remember the beatniks of the 60s? A 90 degree tilt on the classics. Nice job!!
This is a delightful album. The pieces are strong and powerful. Reminds me of heroes marching into epic battle. The terrific use of drums adds a masculine feel and keeps you interested in what will happen next. Truly a masterful performance! I especially like Dark Forest. Thank you for this lovely orchestration!
