Great intro, I love the delay pan effect on the synth. The playful bass seems to have an clean but organic feel to it.
The groove is established as well as changed well.
I think some more risks with the synth work would spruce this track up to something really remarkable.
It seems like a journey, sound spaced from a larger area and coming from somewhere distinctly foriegn but friendly!
Well, lets see, that intro was mysterious, and compelling. "Scream" is a good rock with great vocals and a smart brass. "Down the Lane" intros with some rich strings and splits off with drums, guitars and vocals to round out this very beautiful melody and enjoyable pop song. "Jane" was a rock tune with a strong song. Loved the guitar intro to "Passion" which rapidly became one of my favorites. An acoustic guitar leads into the beautiful ballad of "Longing" with nice vocals and warm strings.
I loved the sound effects used in tracks 7, 8, and in "Speed" which was a really good rock tune with superior drumming. And I just adored "Deafness" which was a gentle ballad, a break from the rest of the tracks. That Jazzy part of "Against the World" made that song stand out nicely.
I think this album shows outstanding talent from these artists. The warm, male voice is very good but could use a little more maturation. The music, the concept, the unusual touches and surprises all go together to make this album really outstanding.
This album is so outstanding (I shared it on both my blog and facebook) - I am very impressed by the gorgeous voices on these tracks, the stupendous melodies, the damn good fusion of rock, folk, and celtic. The only reason I listened to it in the first place was because I found the album cover so attractive. The poetry/lyrics were also exceptional, profoundly moving, uplifting or just plain good. The composer put together a winner in this album. The whole time I listened I felt as if I were in the midst of a grande production. This was true entertainment and I think it would be fun to see live. I just loved, loved, loved this album!
I love the energy, vocals, music, guitars, drums, hey this is good rock. Thanks for sharing.
This little track was nice enough. I found it to be very energetic with a fluctuating, driving forcefulness. It maintained its tempo while changing instruments just enough to retain listener interest.
A Pop,rock,Spanish, melodic-al, acoustic guitar, instrumental, drums drum beats,atmospheric-al, very appealing, pleasing track, that just oozes satisfaction guaranteed with great female Spanish vocals and nice lyrics and great music to match. I have now had it on repeat a few times, as it is that addictive..
Wow guys, I was really in awe at your talents and skills on this amazing, expression of music and vocals, let alone sound-scape of beauty and delight as I sat and really took on board your epic album. This was Not just a Rock album it was much much more to that.. The music was really telling stories with every lyrics sang, every note played to perfection. As you listened you felt the wonderment and joy, you guys, feel and do feel every time you perform and compose let alone express your music to us the listener and to yourself in private as you, experiment with your musical creations in general. I felt the essence and flow of the lyrics melt and ooze from the music. And the vocals just mixed it to perfection. Everything was lovely, made great enjoyment for me and others who check you out and become or are already to be fans of your exquisite music. I can honestly say, I didn't dislike or hate or get bored with any tracks on this album at all. I loved every minute and I really do want to hear more from you guys soon...I nearly forgot to say, I love the tones of classical music that you also heard at times in your music. That shows great musical ability to mix that into your style of music.. wink.
Great instrumental, hard-to-pigeonhole, rock- oriented songs that aren't quite rock. Post-rock IS I guess the best descriptor. Some songs have a distinct postpunk flavor such as the frantic, crushing "Orb", while others, like the drumless "B-Movie" are plangent beauties. "Eternal Sunshine" recalls the early work of Disco Inferno (the band). I seem to hear a slight Police influence in the guitars (a good thing), otherwise this is pretty singular. Really good stuff, hope there's more soon.
Strangely true, another great collaboration between Josh Woodward and Sean Wright in this compelling, irresistible,mesmerising-ly powerful, album heard here tonight by me. And all I can say is wow..I was blow away, yet ones more. I was touched and heartfelt, by the beautiful lyrics of human emotions and the hurts and pains, let alone downfalls that become and happen between lovers, soul mates, friends husbands and wives.I felt the power and the awesome magnitude of the lyrics. play hell with my heart and mind, let alone soul. And their bewitching voices, just resonated inside my head and heart, let alone ears. As they sang so to perfection, with each and every lyrics they sang..And I loved the acoustic, instrumental, stirring, atmospheric-al, admiral, inter grated, engaging music heard, that was in true harmony - flow to their vocals, moods, lyrics and everything.. Bravo Guys.. I curtsy and give thanks to an epic collaboration of minds, hearts and souls...
Ps The two of you are like a perfect heavenly match made on earth.. You just seem to glow and give so much to us the listener and to each other as artist and creative musicians in general. More power to you both..
1st track, light, dream, made me smile and feel warm all over...lovely rhythmical, piano music, that made me think of sunshine and love..romantic walks in the park, holding hands..
2nd track, interesting, experimental, upbeat, intriguing, funny and strangely bizarre sounding at times to me, checking it out, but I enjoyed it.Showed great use of creativity and skill.. And unique style expressed.
3rd track. dramatic, daring, wilder sounding, had depth and darkish passion to it. Yet romantic overtones to the musical expression felt in it. Nice done with grace and style..
4th track, elegant, simply piano tunes, that where minimal, experimental, dramatic, stylish and exotic to taste at times as well. Showed class and artistic-al flare as well.
5th track.. minimal, soft, gentle piano music. comforting, yet could be dramatic, and daring to the senses even darkish.. fantastic balance between both expressed and executed to perfection heard...
