Destructive Restoration

you are reading a review for the album "Fhilo - Destructive Restoration" for the www.creativecommons.ca web page; you are now listening to the album; you are slowly becoming the album as you listen to it; you are an adroid traversing alternate dimensions; you are a voice that is much too slow to understand; you are Kurt Cobain's voice sampled in a way that likely voids a Creative Commons license (but maybe not); you are voices turned into percussion instruments; you are the child of an 80's video game and a distorted guitar wail; you are playing in the grounds of a serene but slightly disturbing clown; you are being rared into a muddled state of purgatory; you realize that this vibration never really goes very far, like molecules in Brownian motion; you are giving into the electrode resonance, and as you do, you get along much better; you are on a race in a pixelated convertible; you are raising your score as a soundtrack for the cruise; you are on a journey without skids or crashes, but as you cross the finish line, it all goes blank; you are in a den in the old south, with growling chants of incoherence drowning your mind; your ears echo with the cries of enslavement; you are cutting pain with a reeling chainsaw buzz; you are left; you are feeling wounded and healed at the same time; you are breaking to build; you are reading this review from jamendo.com and wondering why it is worded in such a way; you are in on the play because you have visited www.creativecommons.ca; you are finished reading this review;

I only wish I spoke french because the way this music is presented is my favorite thing ever.
Electric guitar with heavy drum and bass, Hip-Hop and Industrial influences :)
Deserves the "Jungle" tag.

The "time" Is well beat! The song of thats melody make me think that would be cool if it can be accompany with some geners of Puzzle game or role and sporting game (like Grand eft auto and other tipology of games);

Ehma - Opus Solemnis

I really enjoyed this album, I can't choose between this one and La plage de Blane-est, they're both beautiful, and inspire to meditation.

I really like the style, it's poetic, a bit mystical and sweet.

I also like the cover, even though it's not as "mystical" as the songs.

The only thing sometimes I don't like very much are the sythesized sounds, which sometimes are not very elaborated, and sound like plain keyboard...

But it's a good album overall.

This album is absolutely recommendable.
It is a very nice mix of downbeat old-school ska
with uptempo passages.
I think this is what Hepcat would've sounded like
if they were born 30 years later ;)

I enjoyed every single track on this album.

ooh and it even has a hidden track ;)

regards, braindancer

Interesting blend of electronic and orchestral elements -- focus on the the album cover for a moment -- close your eyes -- and wander off onto a Scottish lea.

Moodswings

here is defiantly something special about this album. This is a fairly diverse album, and yet it feels strangely familiar. Almost every song feels like an old favourite. Imagine 90's pop with the Beatles singing backup, Elton John supervising the lyrics, and a hint of modern pop-punk.

It starts off with a really fun German track entitled "Auf einem anderen Stern" or "On Another Star," which is a love song, in which the speaker sings to his lover how their love will keep them away from all the chaos in the world. This is followed by a very "pop-ish" I-have-a-new-crush track entitled "Beautiful Girl." I have to admit that this is the song that caught me. "I Back Down to Razorblade Town" is also pretty fun if you ignore the obvious themes and "Play With Me" has really fun bell and guitar lines.

The band itself is really great. The electric guitar really stood out for me on a few of the tracks. Also, the creator wasn't afraid to use back-up singers or press beyond the guitar-bass-drum set mold that has has too tight of a grip on music.

The entire album appears to be about one girl: "Julia," which is really effective at bringing the "Moodswings" all together into one nice collection of music.

This is, no question, the best album I've ever seen on Jamendo.
