I liked the 2 songs from the EP (Faith Lizard and Karma is a bitch) very much so I was excited to listen to the full album with 9 songs.

And I wasn't disappointed. The album continues where the EP ended: Good Voice, great melodies, all songs a litte melancholic, some with a dark and mytical undertone which sounded a bit new-wavey to me. Especially the last song has many synthesizer sound in it.

My favourite tracks are "Is there a place in the world for me" with it's drifty rhythm and catchy refrain, "Paris" the opener, a great indie ballad and "Faith Lizard" a song that was already on the EP and features some strings and a dark atmosphere. Also "Karma is a bitch" from the EP.

Great work, this album. Will be on heavy rotation on my playlist.

A short word about my profile picture. This is a fragile work of art, from Richard Serra exhibited in the Hamburger Kunsthalle. The installation is called "Do it". I like it so much, because it plays with the ban to touch things in a museum and it seems as if you could easily break it with just a little push. I think it's a analogy for what jamendo does to music industry. At the moment we all stand awestruck (ehrfürchtig) in front of the music industry complex, not having the heart to push it. I hope that with platforms like jamendo more people be encouraged to play with music and to "do it" and that the music industry finally scatters to pieces.
