would you expect a tiger to feel comfortable in the cities? well, we don't.
this band is our wilderness. our songs are our hope.
this is why we chose "tigeryouth" as a name.
it all started back in 2006 with the founding members tilman and simon, who came together to perform songs which tilman wrote during his exchange year. but soon it became clear that there was more to come. they dropped most of the old songs and started writing, experimenting, improving. several people joined and left the band. until now only their drummer, henrik hoelzen, became a fixed member.
they had the opportunity to support some quiet well-known acts in their hometown and muenster: "friedemann weise" from germany and "luke pickett" from the uk.
now they are finishing school and the only thing they really want do is music. this may sound like a teenage fantasy but the band would like to quote frank turner at that point:
"ditching teenage fantasies means ditching all your dreams"
music is not something they want to do just because they are bored and too lazy to start a life.
it is what they believe in and what gives them hope. they say it's their life and if you see them on stage or hear them, you'd believe it.
