Love the melancholy, the mix of piano and virtual harp. Hard to describe the style; I would say that it fits within the Windham Hill catalog of music.

Sophomore Jinx is a well crafted collection of nine piano pieces. They are easy to listen to while you work. Costlow's style reminds me of George Winston. Where I think this collection falls short is that all of the pieces seem to have the same quick tempo. I was hoping that some softer, more introspective pieces were interspersed within the collection. The pieces seem to run together and none seem to particularly stand out on their own.
However, the album is good and well worth the download. It holds up well to repeated listening. I look forward to Costlow's next effort.
