I love japan. This single just makes it better. Usually when I listen to japanese music I listen to rock or visual kei. This is different in a good way and better than I could expect. I'm looking forward to more music from these guys in the future.
This album, is one of the first serious hardcore albums I've seen on this website. Don't get me wrong. I've seen good rock albums, and good rock artists. I think Of The I and Euphoria are great bands and deserve their praise. But bands like Antarhes and Countdown don't come close to what people praise them for. The singing needs a good amount of work work but everything else is really good for underground foreign hardcore. The drums are tastefully done. The guitar parts are melodic and not too over the top. The the most important thing is that is all feels right and tight when your listening to it. I feel a lot of musicians in this genre of music on Jamendo could learn something from this band.
The first thing I could say when I listened to this album was how easily and shamelessly abstract this album is. Most of the time, that would be a bad thing. However CIRC did it in a way that I, or other people could not. For example, my music might be abstract, but it still seems like it should be there without question. However, the true musical genius can take sounds and blend them together in such a way, that it's almost too abstract to hold a steady beat, and yet in seems the best that way. So is it like a musical Reese's cup or like a new strange candy? I would choose the latter, and I think it's a taste sensation. I top my hat off to you CIRC.
First of all let me say, thank god for another i am this album. Put the other Jamendo artists in their place! The newest album Paragon is seems very different from older i am this stuff.
For example, most of the songs are this sort of alternative, drumnbass, experimental kind of stuff. Which leads me to the title of the review; Does i am this like NIN? The album overall, reminds me of some of the newer material from Nine Inch Nails (Maybe like "The Slip"?) and is pulled together really well, and shows that i am this is opening himself to new styles of music. The biggest example being "Be a man".
Now for any fans who might want to shoot me in the head for this review, don't. I am a big fan of i am this, and respect his music dearly. I also think that there are some classic i am this moments in the album.
All and all a great album. a great experimental showing from i am this. and a great album cover, show that Mike Templeton hasn't lost his edge. Some i am this fans might be surprised by the path he took on this album, but it's still worth a look and download. A must download for experimental fans.
I like the overall sound of the album. It kind of reminds me of something from Sevendust, and God Forbid combined. But What I really believe to be the best part of the music is the fact that there's no over done screaming or singing. The Instrmentals are just perfect, and singing would make them worst. All and all though, a really good hardcore EP for someone who loves this music, but gets tired of the screaming or singing
I love playing guitar. I'm not very good at it yet, so I do drumnbass music and stuff like that, but I love rock and metal more. The Dreamer's Paradox from JT Bruce was one of the best metal albums I've ever heard on Jamendo, but the sound was way too light (in a way) but it doesn't exactly need to be deathmetal. That brings me to this album. L'Ultima Ora from Aching Beauty has what I wanted from JT Bruce after I heard The Dreamers Paradox. It's heaver, without being exactly dark. It also powerful with its lyrics. If you listen to any song though off of this album make it Pairsonality. The song reminds me of something from Tool smashed with JT Bruce with a little bit of Pax Cecilia added. The only letdown I have is the singing. It's not really bad, it just needs a little bit of tuning. All and All, this album should not be missed. I look forward to seeing these guys in the future.
I found this album on the first day I was on Jamendo, and this is what I have to say. If it were not for this album, I probably wouldn't be using this service today. The whole album is the true calling card for i am this and you can tell just by the album art that this is a unique album to be reckoned with.
The album art is unique. It reminds me of nature, or wind or something of that sort.
Now the album itself is pretty much drumnbass from start to finish, except for the first track, sting theory. The rest is a drumnbass experience that should not be missed. The stand out tracks to me are Stay Strumming, Sea of Something, and Alesian Fields.
But for people that are still questioned by i am this and this album, just try it. I know any electronica fan will like it.
I came across this one by accedent but it's definatly interesting. It mixes (to me) trip-hop ambiant, and a pinch of drumnbass. Although I still don't know just who these guys are, they looked cool. The Cover of the album is cool looking. The sound is somewhat unique, and I have no idea how this would sound live. My favorite tracks so far are BreakDaRhythm(popr, Eternals and Evilution.
All and All this brand new album is worth a look for every electronic fan.
Tryad is a very unique band. I mean, they're virtual, and this album just meshes everything toghether into one album. It's quite intersting. I mean, I'd love to hear more from this group, but this one didn't leave the effect that it left on other people. Maybe they should work on the trip-hop sections a little more. Maybe it's because they need to stick to one thing. I don't know what it is but it's still pretty good. It was worth downloading for me, so give it a try
When I saw the reviews for this band, I never thought they would be leading me into a trap. I've never heard metal that was this mangled and just total suck-fest galore at best. For all the people that listen to their music, they just got one person to stop listening to them forever.
