Certainly a good album, much like the other two. The songs have plenty of variation (no wonder, keeping the nature of the project in mind), but the overall production is coherent and well put together. The theme itself is also rather dear to my heart, and the wonderful artwork adds to the the pleasure of downloading the album.
All in all, worth a listen.
I downloaded the album a while ago, judging at that time that it's "okay". A few days later, today, I decided to give the album a listen again, and wow. I'm blown away. Th album isn't merely "okay", it's actually very very good. (I would like to have the lyrics in text, maybe even with a translation, though.)
At any rate, top notch stuff, especially Matelot and Casse Oreilles.
A very pleasant discovery here on Jamendo. My favorite song must be Shanty Blues or maybe Police Dog Blues, but they're all very well played and sung. Very roots-y, very real. Would like more music like this.
I'm not usually a fan of electronic music, but once in a while I come across some really good stuff. This is one such case. I've listened to the album several times in a row, and I'm sure as hell going to check out the other albums too.
Great stuff, well worth the download.
Good, pure, clean rock. Plenty variation but at the same time a very consistent album. Just the kind of stuff I sometimes like to have on when I'm working.
Love the album cover too.
This is some brilliant stuff - as people have pointed out, it's pretty much a soundtrack for an EPIC fantasy film. (Or one of the more high-quality video games.)
As somebody pointed out, this would sound even better if played by an orchestra, but I'd imagine not everyone can own one of those, and the music is brilliant as it is.
Good job.
