This LP is even better than the first one (Somehow Hormonal). I think Alessa reached here the limits of Fast Tracker and his evolution is outstanding.
"Satori.exe" recalls me in his rythm part the song of "Avenger" which was my favorite game on MSX. It's a funny track with a lot of humour and, like the others, many references to the great genius of video game Music like Kondo Koji or Uematsu Nobuo. But with a desprate tension which gives to this LP all his originality.
"Where do all the children go"is my favorite track for we already hear in this song the next step to "The Better Place" where Fast tracker's limitations will vanish.
I wonder what this guy will do when he'll have a major behind him. We perahps have the next Squarepusher here on Jamendo ;)
This LP is Incredible and not only because he was written on Fast Tracker II.
For those who don't know FastTracker II, it was a widely used music sequencer... in the 90's. So it's a vanguard vintage album in advance on his time :)
The source code of FastTracker 2 was written in Pascal using Borland Pascal 7 and TASM. In other words, it was a very dry tracker and a guy who can create this with only fasttracker is a genius, period.
It's an amazing work and my favorite so far. In three tracks Alessa opens new horizons between electronic music and a complex and clever "wyattian" pop songwritting.
