Crunchy, bouncy, smooth, rough, and lots of other things all at once. Highly spiffy!
Ranging from good tight hard-hitting rock/punk sounds to spacey moments, this is simply excellent. I like it a lot.
Good flow and feel, excellent blend of sounds, cool songs. Well played and recorded. It gets a 10.
A bit short, but hey it was a demo. Still, the quality is good and the music is catchy and well-written. I don't speak the language, but that won't keep this from being something I like.
Well done, very distinctive sound. Dark, with good energy.
Vocals, guitarwork, and recording are all well done. I'd have to say that the most striking feature of Shino's work though is the boldness.
Excellent album.
Well played, good energy, good vocalists. I'd say my personal favourite was "A Quarter to Death". "The Seer" was also memorable.
One could wish it was a longer album, but for a demo it's reasonable length and quite good. The band certainly deserves to get some gigs off it!
An interestingly focused album. Very "open" feeling arrangements, and some lovely sounds.
We raise a glass in honour of the dedication, and we rate the album a 9.
Kind of minimalist glitch, or at least that's what I'd call it on the first listen-through. I am not sure how to rate it. It's not my 'cup of tea', but it is well done. The recording is clean and well mixed, the choice of sounds is unusual but I think that's rather the point. Melodic lines are clear and recognizable, occasional use of counterpoint and the sparse percussion help to avoid tedium.
It is certainly not an amateurish quality project. It is quite obvious that Dance 2003 *could* sound more "standard" if they chose to. I don't presume to really understand their project, but based on what I can hear so far as quality I give it at least an 8.
Very expressive playing, superb musicianship! Delightful.
