Born in Krakow (Poland) under the surname of Robert Pieculewicz, I started to learn classical guitar at 12 years old.
Once listening to Van Hallen, I asked my parents to buy my first electric guitar and soon started to play in a local band called Vandetta.
Boosted by the "guitar heroes" movement during the 90's, with a pure composer feeling, I started to self produce my own songs, melting deep melodies, diversity and talent.
Since 1994 I have already published 6 albums as composer, arranger and interpreter. If my first two albums were decisive tries, the next ones, Fy free , Speed limit and then Electric heart, are close to V.Halen, S.Vai and J.Satriani creations and perfection.
With a tremendous technique, a magic touch and a natural feeling, Steve Allen can easily melts metal, classical atmospheres and percussive tempi.
« Blue Metal », produced by Crystal Planet, is his last 2006 opus in which his music is getting deeper and acute. Created during a difficult period of his life, Steve ALLEN tries to share his daily blue feelings and his pain.
I am now known in Western Europe as an all-round artist, not only in clubs or professional studios but also among metal fans clubs.
Since 2006 I have been working with the French publisher Crystal Music Recording.
A new or live album with the best of Steve ALLEN will be produced at the beginning of 2010.
I also often play with Partners of Time group and Kapitalna Kapela Kapelusze.
In november 2009 I played with Richie KOTZEN in prime time concerts.---------------------------------------------
(FRENCH) Bonjour, je suis né à Cracovie (Pologne) et j'ai pris mes premiers cours de guitare classique à 12 ans.
La découverte de Van Halen a été pour moi une révélation qui très vite a changé mon destin. Je me suis alors tourné définitivement vers la guitare électrique et suis devenu membre du groupe Vandetta puis de Moonwalker.
Porté par le mouvement « guitar heroes » des années 90 et compositeur dans l’âme, je commence à auto produire ses propres compositions instrumentales qui séduisent par leur diversité et leur éloquence mélodique. J'en assure la composition, l'instrumentation, l'arrangement et l'enregistrement.
Malgré toutes les difficultés rencontrées à cette époque dans mon pays, politiques, économiques et artistiques, j'ai auto produit successivement en quelques années 6 albums: "Czardasz", "Poszukiwacze szszescia" diffusés localement à peu d’exemplaires puis successivement "Fly free" puis "Speed limit", "Electric Heart" puis "Blue Metal" à vocation internationale qui s’inscrivent pleinement dans la lignée des Van Halen, Steve Vai ou Joe Satriani.
"Blue Metal" a été produit par Crystal un Editeur français en 2006 et je prépare mon 7ème album pour début 2010.
Je fais également partie du Groupe Partners of Time qui a sorti l'album "Night Garden" et joue régulièrement avec Kapitalna Kapela Kapelusze.
En novembre 2000 j'ai été finaliste et primé aux Nuits de la Guitare à Lausanne (Suisse), manifestation sponsorisée notamment par Guitarist ainsi que Guitare et Claviers et en 2007 j'ai fini sur le podium du concours international de composition et interprétation de solo à Lublin en Pologne.
En novembre 2009 j'ai assuré la première partie de Richie KOTZEN.
