Reminiscent of 80s and 90s industrial and some more gothic music, but with a unique little twist to it. The beats are great and catchy, nice synths - this music craves a club. Clever use of guitar, and great vocals to - for most part low, growly, screamy, brilliant and a perfect fit for the music. They slip into a more Eastern sound on Wilder Wind, a cool variation and quite atmospheric. My favourites are definitely Hope and Liar, but the entire album is well worth it. Play it loud at parties.
I have to say, when I saw "acoustic rock" in the description I hardly expected this metal sound to jump out at me - an extremely pleasant surprise, made all the more interesting by the acoustic guitar. "Powerful" acoustic rock, indeed! Normally I'm iffy on bands that are solely acoustic, but this album is definitely an exception. Instant favourite.
The genre says it all. This is pure, German 80s-style punk, pulled off brilliantly. Even if I don't understand the language I still love just to listen - in fact, the German lyrics really suit the songs and style of the songs, it wouldn't sound the same in English, let alone with an American or English singer. This is definitely one of my top albums at the moment, including things that aren't CC! My favourite tracks are the title track, and especially Partytime - it's fast, catchy, and just has something I can't put my finger on. I look forward to hearing much more!
