It was nice to find this young metal band. Time to differ is a good album for sure! They declare Iron Maiden and Metallica as their main influences and, well, you can guess that by their music (Maiden, mainly). Although I am not a big fan of copycat bands, I must admit the play very well, and the tracks of this record show some personality as well.
I really like Salmacis' first work 'News from the king', and I haven't been disappointed by this work either! The main surprise was the more strong progressive path the artist has taken. A surprise I liked really much.
I consider Utch kinda an experimental work, with the aforementioned strong progressive influences and some really interesting tracks with vocal lines. Maybe it's not too much consistent - speaking about style of course - but it's definitely a class album.
This is a relly good metal crossover! Scoldt took more than a decade of metal hystory and put it in their pot. The result is definitely worth listening.
All songs from this album are strongly played and heavily singed without being boring or giving a feeling of 'yet listened elsewhere'. The ability of manage influences is a talent indeed, and Scoldt give us a personal overview of what heavy metal means for them.
If I have to summarize this album of Diagnostico Canalla in just few words, I would say 'Get it and listen to it'. It's a really good collection of pure rock tracks, well played and full of energy. I'd like to know Spanish to better understand the lyrics, as I think they are an important part of the compositions. The only note I have to add is that all songs are all a bit similar, which is not a big drawback if you like them.
My favorite track is 'Ojo por ojo'. That harmonica melody is simply amazing.
The most amazing thing about Tripexity is that the band does not exists... in a traditional sense. The members have never met themselves in real life, but were indeed able to create a wonderful work.
"Between light and shadow" is a carefully crafted mix of jazzy atmospheres, where every instrument is both starring and part of the whole. All songs are very pleasing, well played and never boring. Really interesting the first track, where a seductive female voice widens more the spectrum of Triplexity's music.
If I should describe this album with just few words I would say it interesting, well composed and played. The songs sink their root in the classical progressive rock, but it's easy to find many influences in terms of styles and sounds. All ingredients are well mixed together, and create nice and original atmospheres. Worth listening... possibly more than once.
I'm not a fan of pure jazz, but I love it when it is part of some kind of contamination. Jazz U is exactly that. A contamination of mainly Jazz and Ambient music. It's a really fine contamination, where sounds overlap smoothly and create a nice - but not boring at all - dynamic atmosphere, whit a huge lot of musical influences. Suggested, at least.
I'm probably the worst reviewer for this kind of music genre... I'm not really into electrobeat, so I can't apprecciate the good in Rozbit's music. This album is quite unlistenable to me; noise and music mixed in an incoherent way make every track really hard to listen.
Lego plays nice music. They know how to mix elctronic sounds and real instruments to create a good atmosphere. This album tries to push the concept a bit further, but somehow (I think) it misses the goal.
Some tracks are really nice indeed, while some others are too experimental for my personal tastes. Thus the feeling of having a demo rather than a complete album remains strong.
I have a struggled opinion about this album. Sound is very interesting, and some songs are good examples of relaxing ambient. I liked the way the artist experiment with sounds to achieve a complex though smooth experience. Unfortunately, I also had the feeling that something is missing... some kind of "incompleteness" which arose form time to time between tracks. It is good indeed, but I'm sure it could have been better.
