I thought that this was a very pleasant and well put together album. There is a bit of everything here.
I suspect it may grow on me as well. Initially I was drawn in admittedly by the name, the cover and the fact that it seemed to be all in my native tongue- English. The songs are catchy, propulsive and the lyrics intelligent and injected with humor sometimes. There are some well-placed powerful guitar parts on many of the songs. Overreacting is a very catchy, melodic song with a perfect message- a little pop-gem on an album full of very good and different songs.
My friend said -listen to this -it's amazing. So being a compliant lad....it is about half instrumental with the rest having vocals as well.
There is an off-kilterness about it but somehow it sounds right. I find it very hard to describe but in parts it is mesmerizing and all in all it is it's own mini-masterpiece. There is a group I know of called Codeine who were kind of majestically downcast but brilliant with bursts of menacing but melodic guitar and a steady drumming keeping everything admirably powerful. This album is a little like that one in those ways. You have to be in the mood for it -but fantastic!
