A very relaxing album, with a good production quality. The lyrics are good, backed up with a well placed acoustic guitar, the skills of which are shown off in certain areas throughout, most notably the solo in My Aphrodite.
The only downfalls of this album is that some songs at a glance only contains minor differences from the previous. This isn't entirely a bad thing, as it keeps consistency, and will ensure fans of your music will enjoy each track.
I think you could benefit by perhaps adding another degree in a couple of songs, such as a maybe a backing female vocalist, or another instrument.
All in all, I think it is a really good album, and continue making them!
Positives:
The production quality is impressive, and it is obvious the artist knows his way around a studio. The track is consistent throughout, sticking to its initial style.
Negatives:
Nothing new is attempted in this track that hasn't been done before. Although the track does nothing wrong, it would get lost in the overpopulated world of unsigned rap/hip hop.
Continue with what you are doing, but for your next track try and get a bigger hook, or perhaps experiment more with something that stands out.
First off, I would like to say that if I heard 'No One Comes (close to you)' on the radio in the top 10 I wouldnt be shocked. It wouldnt be my favourite song, but without a doubt it sounds like potential chart material. It has a hook that had the song in my head all day.
The other thing I found impressive was that I often only like music after hearing the songs at least 3 times, but right away I knew No One Comes (close to you) was good enough for my playlist, and potentially putting the others in!
The album quality isn't bad, but may potentially take away from the music, though this wouldnt lose you marks on here... but I think with a professionally recorded album there is a chance it could do really well.
I like the quite peaceful style rock music, I think it suits you well.
This is a band I will keep an eye on in future.
- as I was writing this, I added track 1 to my playlist too.
I have been really enjoying listening to Superheroes of Science. The first song I noticed was Dr Robotnik. It made me laugh out loud, and was also catchy. It went right into my playlist.
The songs are all amusing and catchy. I really like Wondermachines and Oh My Beautiful Problem Child. I have also put Call Them X in my playlist.
The only reason I havn't rated the album higher is because although the songs generally sound like they have been worked on by all people, and have the same feel (which is impressive for a worldwide music collabaration), some parts seem to just step over the line of professional-but-light-hearted, and I would find it hard to seriously put this on while my friends were over.
I will definetly be looking out for the next album!
Great sounding guitar album. It's not the kind of thing I usualy go for, but I'm glad I had a listen. Excuse my computer game references, but the first track, A Lomos del Dragon Blanco, wouldn't sound out of place on Guitar Hero. The second track, El Desierto de Colores, could sit nicely with Nobuo Uematsu's instrumentals, which is am impressive feat.
Great to listen to in the background, while driving, or with full concentration. Suitable for pretty much any time.
