i already knew you, you're MA047 and i'm MA048 with another project.. you know what i'm talking about
i think most people have already spent all possible good comments on this and i tell you what mates, they're right!
probably one of the best and equilibrated experimentation on blending old videogames sounds with pop
10/10
cheers
i see lots of Hong Kong Syndikat, Matt Bianco, The Cure (japanes whisper era) and why not Japan and Alphaville... (they also wrote a song with the word japan... it's only a coincidence though and although we western dairy people confuse chinese with japanese very easily)
yes this is good retro stuff
the second track could have been absolutely huge 25 years ago, the piano is absolutely fantastic at half track, it enriches the whole song, and the key changes are heart touching
i don't give you 10 because you could have put some more stuff in this ep ;)
typing distracts me, so ...i wanna be alone with can't stop the daggers for a time
good old psy
the taste goes beyond every storyboard and this concept is based on what we dreamed of some time ago
quite long tracks but never boring and to make this happen you must have some kind of intelligence and...as i said above taste!
i would spend hours describing what effectively only listening you can have a better idea
good stuff indeed
i accept the fact that on websites like jamendo everyone has the right to publish whatever they want....within reason of course
what have we got here? an outrageous loud and unquantized GMS guitar preset on, let's say 110 bpm, on top of a cheap GMS drum set with the wrong preset going on a different speed, maybe 100 bpm, or maybe not, did'nt take too long to examine such mess really..
1) did you upload the wrong file?
2) did you listen to the track after upload had completed?
3) is this some kind of joke?
4) where's the camera? have we all been framed?
there are no comments on the music side because there's nothing even close to the very basic concept of it
rap is timing, funk, groove
do you know what tese things are?
i think there's a long way ahead for you, and in the opposite direction too...
i left zero stars as official vote although i would leave 1 virtual star for the few minutes of distraction provided
i don't see why bringing this work down so much
actually i like the first 2 tracks quite a lot
then, yes of course after a while anything would sound not so fresh anymore, and there are so many songs here...you can take it easier
though i don't think vocals could make me last listening all the songs for too long, nothing wrong, only maybe some more versatility would fit the extraordinary work and the progression and structures of the songs.
consider though that i take The Editors as examples of non stop listening pleasure as reference...
and yes, the style, it is perfectly allright even if it recalls Coldplay quite too often, but i can always consider this album like a pop version of many post rock bands working with guitar feedbacks harmonies and stuff
i think it's good and definetly worths listening and why not sing along at the next Glastombury Festival...
who knows
cheers
it's a deep touch to the heart, music for those youngs whose aren't young anymore, which in other words is some kind of renewal of what we don't expect to see around like revivals and other stuff.
it's the old videogames sound! how many emotions have we spent on amiga and other consoles back in those days? how many times have we suffered and joyed with those things? and this album catches that spirit in full!
i'm listening to all the tracks and everytime there's a new thing coming
not just the videogames themselves but a develope of what comes from there
nice concept, and it wins against all those c64 soundalike projects, good as concepts but annoying to listen to after a while, this one instead goes to the best moments of that creating good melodies and atmos
very cool
i'm loving it
i must admit you have some talent and knowledge of pop music, although i see this kind of pop a bit dated and not particularily strong, i say this because it's ment to be pop and pop should be yes catchy but also innovative, kids today seem to have stronger sense of choice.
The arrangements are very simple, maybe too much and let everyhting be based on the lyrics that i don't understand, but speaking of the same style Manonegra did much innovative stuff 20 years ago.
and yes there's a difference between retro and dated, there's a whole path around time
sorry mate but i'm being very honest with you
