I love the smooth "shoegaze" energy of this music. I expect my use of "shoegaze" is misleading as this music does not have the droning guitars of what I know as shoegaze. But there is an ongoing droning consistency in these songs, enhanced with a varied, but similar laid back beat.
I agree with the comparisons with artists mentioned but I actually prefer the consistency of this music. It does not try to cover too many genres, just a mastery of the sounds it does cover. Now onto the first cd.
I LOVE JAMENDO!
I love this artist. This is my favorite set from her. Original singing, lyrics, and piano playing.
Anyone who can cover Joni and do it right wins my vote. (Although her cover of A CASE OF YOU is not on this cd.)

"Oh Canada"
I am new to jamendo. But I am loving this music. Varied enough to keep your interest but true to the concept. The first song is a relevant message but differs from the remaining songs. I descirbed this to a friend as a Alan Parsons/Enigma/ABBA merge. Okay, I wouldn't download it if someone described it that way. It is better than that.
And anyway...what do I know : )
