PeerGynt Lobogris is an excellent gutarist and one with a huge output so far. This album is a great showcase of just how much he is capable of, and a great place to start if you want to find your way around his music.
This is a wonderfully uptempo album that really catches the mood of the summer. The songs are a reasonably eclectic mix, all of which have a 60s/70s feel and all of which are very catchy.
Party on, dudes!
As soon as I heard Whirlwind I was hooked. And the rest of the album - especially the wonderfully titled Werewolf Blues - certainly lives up to its initial promise.
This is a collection of strong songs with a folky bent that is well worth listening to.
This album is exactly what it claims to be. A great stack of superb percussive rhythms
Very solid no-frills rock.
A very mellow set of ambient tracks that fit together really nicely. If I had to pick a favourite track, it would probably be Surrounded by Opera Smoke but the whole album has been produced top a very high standard.
Excellent range or hard rock and metal that sounds great all the way through.
I started listening to this expecting it to be amusing as a novelty album, but not much more. So I was genuinely surprised at how good it is - they really do manage to get some real emotion into these 8-bit tracks.
A couple of people have mentioned that this album could do with a little more polish, but don't let that put you off. It's a nicely melodic piece of Celtic rock and a cracking first album.
I'm looking forward to seeing more from Fenrir
The first time I listened to this I wasn't to sure about it. But, after a few listens, it really does grow on you.
