This album is right out of the top drawer - musically, lyrically, and melodically. Jamendo is very fortunate to have two fine artists in their own right sharing music, but now! Double the joy! What a great collab, guys.
Absolutely awesome, guys! In so many beautiful ways. From the opening track, Ghost From The Grave to the finish of Always Online, I loved ever minute of this top notch album. Josh and Sean have created something really special and unique. This is one should be on everyone's Creative Commons download list. Thanks for sharing this excellent collaboration.
Bon song!
Now and again, a perfect album appears. THE CALLING is it! Not since Brad Sucks have I heard such a complete artist as Sean Wright. Everything is right and correct. The songs, melodies, arrangements, hooks, blended vox, and most of all: the lushness of production, the soft, soft tones and poetic lyrics! More of this style Sean please! Bravo! Encore!
this albums has a good vibe. feel like nirvana in voice. hooky songs. love it.
sweet lullabys is a great songs album. fine like wine. big on sounds.
superb - simply, supberb!
I just had to review this new EP. SIPPING ON A RED BULL IS AWESOME. Such strong melodies and hooks. Real instruments played with such confidence and skill, and then there's the vox. What a great, commericial voice! Thank you Mr Wright! I loved this little album, and will be listening to the rest of the album for sure. Can't wait.
This album is so sweet! From the opener, BLOW THOSE BLUES AWAY right the way through to the final anthemic track TOMORROW IS ANOTHER DAY, Wright's songwriting genius shines brightly.
The lyrics are intelligent and world-wise, with Wright offering up his tormented heart and soul. He covers personal tragedies, such as the loss of a loved one in the super RETURN AGAIN, and the haunting THIS IS A GUN.
I read that this guy is in the middle of a music marathon, where he's been writing, recording, and releasing an album-a-month since April 2007. If this is an indication of his songwriting prowess, then I for one am eager to catch-up on his back catalogue.
DYLAN'S DEAD? was a real, pleasant surprise for me. I hope it is for other listeners. It's calm, cool, yet dangerously edgy. Top, top album!
This is a very accessible album - fine, catchy, well-arranged songs and good vox, but the best bits of this artist are the lyrics. Very insightful and well-observed. Great stuff! I love it.
