I WANT MORE!

this EP has some amazing moments. all over the world is my favourite. very good production. the other songs are good too but they end when they get interesting. "i know that" has a great guitar riff but it gets boring when you hear it over 5 minutes. i've expected more climax and variation throughout the song.

a very good artist with great ideas who needs to put a little more progression in the songs.

thank you!

this sounds like the soundtrack to a crazy movie, which i'd love to see.
this is hard to describe, some jazzy organic sounds on downtempo beats, but these beats are also hard to describe, they're stop-n-go and also organic. sometimes it sounds like the artist doesn't know what he's doing, maybe too much vodka, but then he gets things back together again.
sometimes it reminds me of circus music. there's a german artist called "helge schneider", he's a musical genius, but also crazy. i think he'd love this release as much as I do.

thank you!!!!

this is excellent chillout music, a little trance combined with ambience and all pretty minimal. sometimes it gets a little more aggressive. good production!

great! thank you!

this is a very nice electro album, sometimes aggressive but mostly smooth.

the song "hommage to my dirty socks" is a wonderful ambient synth song with the funniest title on jamendo.

the song "faq für erstsemester" reminds of the 90s techno scene, cool track.

"gselzwecka" reminds me of robert miles, trancy retro ambient style.

i'm only missing a few vocals here and there.

i like the music of each and every song. this is great retro 80s synth pop with wonderful synth sounds. this could be a masterpiece, but the vocals are really low. mostly its off key and ruins the song. i'd love to hear that album without vocals or with some synthesized vocals. though i like the french accent ;)

please give me more with better vocals!

PlayPlay

eine sehr runde sache, so klingt guter deutschsprachiger rap ohne gangsta-attitüde.

danke fürs album!

checkt auch Eloquenz "Unkraut"

Personal data

Growing up in the slums of Cologne - one of Germany's most vibrant cities - Elias Damian early encountered the world of music. His father emigrated from Greece, his mother from Lebanon in the early seventies to meet and fall in love with each other in the city of Cologne. Both of them, as music fanatics, familiarized Elias (born in 1977) with Arab and Greek music, such as bellydance music and famous artists as Fairouz. But the first record they bought him was "Hey You" by the Rocksteady Crew followed by Kraftwerk's "Robots". He got hooked! These energetic electro driven beats fascinated him already as an infant. In 1987 he asked his father, who worked at the biggest record store of Europe, to buy Michael Jackson's "Bad" album. And this album should influence his whole life. Going from Michael to the Jackson 5 to Stevie Wonder to R. Kelly's "Born Into The 90s" to New Jacks such as Guy, Troop, New Edition, Elias couldn't do other than loving this music from the bottom of his heart. Soon people heard about this little music freak and his record collection and asked him to play these records at birthday parties. At the age of 15 he started his DJ career known as "DJ Atomik-E". Throughout the years he got better and better and soon he played in the biggest clubs in town. But playing records wasn't satisfying him anymore, he got musical ideas and needed to realize them immediately. He saved some money and bought his first Keyboard and started making hip hop beats. He sang, he rapped, played the keys and as soon as computers got affordable he went professional.
He used to listen to all kinds of music by then, disco, funk, rock, jazz, techno, rap, and the list goes on. Teaming up with some of the best rappers in Cologne he always kept his wings spread wide.First national releses brought more and more respect from other artists.
Nowadays he owns a little recording studio still in the slums of Cologne, staying true to his roots and doing what he loves: making beautiful music.

After "Vocoder Pop" he now released his debut album "Science Fiction Soul Vol. 1 - The Love Robot" available at cdbaby.com and itunes.

SCIENCE FICTION SOUL VOL. ONE - THE LOVE ROBOT:

The Love Robot aka Elias Damian is a one man project taking the music of the past to the future. A Fender Rhodes piano, some good old synthesizers from the 70s form the musical basis of what Elias Damian calls Science Fiction Soul. Why Science Fiction? Well, science fiction deals with the future, with things we think are impossible. But on this CD you can hear some vocal features which you may have never heard before. Elias takes you to outer space and back to earth in a minute, still staying in that smooth and jazzy way. He starts where Herbie Hancock, Stevie Wonder and Kraftwerk stopped in the 80s. Artifical vocals change with Elias' deep and soothing voice and create an intense atmosphere. His lyrics are classy but deeper than the average R&B song that you hear on the radio. He deals with love in general of course, but also with that strange feeling you get when your girlfriend/boyfriend starts acting weird on the phone. He deals with the love of god and he wants to make you dance a little. In fact, he wants to make you listen without listening too hard. He tried to create a brand new style with a lots of traditional influences and this is the result: science fiction soul vol. one - the love robot.
