A sua música é boa, moderna, quero conhecer mais! Eu gosto muito da música de Caetano Veloso mas sua é maravilhosa. "Muito boa noite!" :-)
No square! This is really modern jazz. Moooodern. This is not mainstream nor off-scene. Not yet a piece of free jazz art, but I feel that you are unconsciously heading towards free notes. It's simply fabulous music performed incredibly professionally. Rarity on Jamendo. Keep working, in giant steps, as you've so far.
First two pieces - recall me the Sting or even Pat Metheny music - delicious! Fourth one bluesy track sounds well too (maybe because I like that raw blues rythm :)). Third doesn't match the rest of the album story. Please, (please!, please!) use less electronic (which causes the loss of the naturalness of sound)! Those didgeridoo and flute (of course guitar too) make sense and give rare feeling when listening to them.
Double bass in these records sounds incredibly! Your music reminds me my last concert of Brad Mehldau Trio -> great stuff.
Romantic minimalism - in my opinion these words adequately describe your album. Sounds well. Resembles Richard Clayderman records, which I have some in my collection. Easy-listening soothing music for couple head over heels in love, ...by candlelight and with glass of red wine :-)
Warm music, actually the sound of this is album is "warm". Recalls me Django Reinhardt original records (I noticed his compositions here, among the other ones). So nice and cute. Obrigado por isso.
On 23th of April Poles celebrated the 40th anniversary of death of great jazz pianist and composer Krzysztof Komeda (I'm sure you must know his composition to Roman Polanski film "Rosemary's Baby" singing by Mia Farrow). Music of your quintet has that unique taste which his one has. It is enclosed in the simplicity of this music, melancholy and subtle purity - not primarily to show-off technical skills. Pure jazz, real jazz. Keep working, keep playing.
I am waiting for your concerts in Poland (we have lots of jazz clubs).
I like that French taste, acoustic sound, really much. Although I understand only a few words (every fifth word or even not...) I fall in love with this song. Your voice recalls me Charles Aznavour, the introducing guitar notes music of Cabo Verde and Portugal, which I hold in high esteem.
Could you post lyrics of this song?
Music on Pastèque is brilliant! I can't stop listening to it!
Will You come to Poland and do live gig? I wonder about your live sound - I think it's incredibly fantastic. Firstly, when I heard Pastèque I thought - new No Square (http://www.no-square.com/) project? Mainly, similar energy in playing, but instruments don't match :)
I recommend one of the Polish groups that play young jazz, someway without jazz blue notes (yes, WE can do it :D). This is Contemporary Noise Quintet (http://www.cnq.electriceye.pl/). Hope, you'll enjoy.
Ludzie, ściągajcie Suerte, bo to nowoczesny jazz w najlepszym wykonaniu!
