Carlos Saura - Carlos Saura

I can't get enough of A lomos del dragón blanco or Volando alto. The riff in Volando alto in particular is brilliant.

I dig your style!

I really liked the audio samples on the last track. Does anyone know what Nasa mission they are from? johnmaxwelliv@yahoo.com

Jewel: Like a kid's song.
Better Now: Pop-like. The singer's voice sounds digitally altered. I like it.
Slip & Fall: Still sounds like kid's music. That doesn't meant that it's bad, however.
Lovers in a Dangerous Time: The singer really sounds like the clown on the cover. Almost like he's swallowed helium. Not as good as some of the other tracks.
That's Life: Sounds like he's singing advice for kids.
Hurt: An interesting mix of sad lyrics and melody, with a more upbeat harmony. Nice.
White Boy Rap: Sounds like a parody of white boy rap. I didn't really like it. Overly repetitive.

I suggest listening to Better Now and Hurt if you want to preview the album.

Human Signals - Oh Thumb!

Human Signals

Oh Thumb!

03/07/07

The musicians are talented, but they aren't always grooving together as well as they could. "Jack Buddy" could be improved greatly in this respect. "Autograph" suffers from the same problem, to a lesser extent. "Oh Thumb!" and "Wednesday" are alright. I would say that "Peace" is the best track on the album.

Instrumental:
Jack Buddy (impressive blues guitar solo)
Peace (pretty cool)
Oh Thumb (guitar solo over guitar harmonies)

Singing:
Autograph (singing could work better with instruments)
Wednesday (better than Autograph, 2nd best on album?)
