This album was a little slow to grow on me, but "God's Will" and "The Big Guy" are very solid tracks.
I think I hear influences of Dream Theater in it. Very nice work.
I like the title track a lot. The others I can't honestly say are as memorable, but there's nothing wrong with them as such. I'll keep listening to it and they may grow on me.
Overall this is quite a nice piece of work. Its style reminds me a lot of The Franklin-Neumann Project.
For the main part I think it could have done with more in the way of keyboards, although it picks up in that regard in the second half. Either way, that's more a matter of taste than an actual criticism.
Looking at it critically, I see two flaws: In terms of melody nothing has really leapt out and grabbed me immediately. Also, I'm not convinced about the endings of all the songs... some of them just seem to stop.
In short, I found it pleasant to listen to although not earth-shattering. This was written during my third listen, so it may yet grow on me. I'll most certainly check out the other album.
