First I have to say that this album has the best art work of any of the Vermillia albums. The sound is great, I love the guitar. The drums are well done. It is a bit of chaos working perfectly together. My only complaint is that the album has only 2 songs.
I like the new direction - a little heavier without losing the original sound/feel. This was a little to experimental to me, but I think it is a good direction.
This album is a lot of fun. Very pop-punk. The cover is cool, and fits well with the music. Great drummer, good riffs and the vocals are perfect for the sound.
The beats are very well done, love the 80's synth. Vocals are right on. Love the simple design of the cover. This album is very well mixed. My only grip with this album is that it is more of the same from this artist. While that is not a bad thing, I think there is real potential for DEIED to step out of the Leather Strip box and do something a little more original. If you love Leather Strip, and I do, then this album is a 10.
Nice pop rock album. The bass and vocals stand out nicely. Very good guitar work. Reminds me of pop rock from the 90's, like the Gin Blossoms or Oasis with a little Spin Doctors mixed in. Maybe even a little light Smash Mouth as well. "My House is not a Home and "End of a story" are my favs. Good job.
I'm not a huge fan of acoustic albums. Fresh Body Shop's last one was no exception. But this album is very well done. The vocals are great, as usual. Songs like "Twins" have a great bluesy feel. Overall the album has a really poppy feel to it. Good job!
Nice mix of sounds. Great guitar work. The drums are nicely basic and the melody is haunting. It is kind of like a mix of goth, old school industrial with classic rock guitar. The organ is an interesting addition. Very good album. Best cover art out of all cover art I have seen from this band. I would like to hear the bass more, but that may just be my speakers. There are also some times when the drums seem like they were recorded too loud, but turned down for the mixing. It has a cool effect, but I am not sure it was intentional, Again though that could be my speakers. If you are looking for some haunting trax with some great guitar work, download this album.
Fresh Body Shop is my favorite band - period. Why they are not all over MTV is a mystery to me. Maybe because MTV doesn't have much to do with music any more? I don't know. This album just solidifies that. "Can't get enough," "enjoy the apple," and "angry machine" are awesome, 10 stars for each of them. I give the album a 9 though because I don't like the album cover and the other 2 trax are 9's in my book, great songs but the other three are the ones that will get played over and over on my player while the other two will get listened to from time-to-time. So with three 10's and two 9's and I give the album cover a 7.
