This is a nice companion piece to the instrumental Destination album by the same artist.
Modern and Carry are songs that are also on Destination but here they are more stripped down, in acoustic form, more open sound with more effects. These versions are probably better than album versions.
The other 3 songs are in much the same vein and mood, Years and Gravity are well crafted with nice smooth melodies and chord changes and Automatic is a short little experiment.
My favourite is Against the rocks, but I like them all.
The sounds take you to think you are actually there... I think it's very relaxing.
I'm waiting for volume 2.
Una producción indie pero con bastante prolijidad y mucha creatividad. Cada tema va creando un clima denso y especial. Mi favorita es Overload pero también cabe mencionar MOdern y The Guide con sus guitarras con muchos efectos.
La extraña bossanova de Falling Star y los cambios de acordes de Seeds también me gustaron.
El disco parece tener un hilo conductor que pasa por sus 12 temas, por lo que se podría llamar un concept album instrumental, terminando con una nota ambient a lo Eno/Lanois con el tema Mending.
