Trolley - Very Plath

Trolley

Very Plath

When Matt [Trolley] suggested I should listen to this album, I was a bit hesitant because I thought it would be as bad as mine. But it wasn't. In fact, it's really is rather good even though it doesn't have any geese in it at all.

It does have a tendency to become a bit wrist-slashingly depressing on occasions. But in a good way! It's a bit "Associates meets Dalek I" but without vocals.

Besides, a little bird tells me that its composer spent a while here in Sunny Southampton. So the poor lad is bound to become a bit introspective from time to time.

Whilst I don't think this record is a "love at first listen" thing, it is definitely an album to have a long term relationship with.

I played it three times now.

Best wishes, G

Nice album. I find it grows on you the more you listen to it.

Nice cover pic too. I think it is actually the wind farm beside the A4|E60 Autobahn, 12km west of Nickelsdorf, Austria, near the Hungarian border crossing at Hegyeshalom - where the A4 becomes the M1. I stopped to take a few snaps when My Hungarian girlfriend & I decided to drive an MX5 from Southampton, England to Budapest a couple of years ago.

Nice work. I particularly liked "Revealed (turnaround)". It is quite hypnotic. Reminds me at the start of Led Zeppelin's "Rain Song". Right now I'm struggling changing a motherboard in a failed file server & I find this album is very calming.

Obviously it could do with some geese on it! :-) Apart from that it's brilliant!

Best wishes, G.

This is a splendid piece of work. It is one of the things that has made me such a big Jamendo Fan. I can't stop playing it! Well done indeed.

Best wishes, G.
