It's fantastic to discover surf rock that has that 50's-60's vibe and feel with modern production and sound... that's what you get with The Wavers. The first 2 tracks keep it mellow, get your juices flowing, then they crank it with Surfin' Mosquito... my favorite track. The Longest Day is a fantastic surf meets rockabilly piece. GREAT STUFF!
A good way to spend 20 minutes... I was listening while doing some work and a couple of the tracks really caught my attention...
Fire in the Room:
Sounds like a track I'd expect to hear as a theme song for a cool 80's crime show like Miami Vice or Hill Street Blues. I dig the solo action and the keys are fun.
The Witch
Very cool stuff... has a very late 70's early 80's progressive rock feel to it. In my opinion, very original for it's sound and more interesting than what I hear on the radio now. Music is timeless... The Witch proves it!
