No two song sounds the same - still, almost everyone of them is a masterpiece on it's own.
"it's not jazzz" has an amazing beat.
"fucked TH.rbbr" is based on a voice screaming "You fucked with the wrong marine" together with strings - amazing.
Also, "39/45 inD. [revo part II]" features no other than Hitler. Yes, I really like that one too.
The only thing this record lacks is something to keep all these great pieces of art together.
This is really just a really good pop album. Unfortunatly, I fail to find what makes Mel's better than other pop performances.
I think I would have raised the score a point or two if the songs would be in english - somehow, pop songs really improve when you hear the lyrics (that's what I think after listening to Hey Girl in both french and english, anyway)
However, the english version of Hey Girl is a really, really good song!
I'm not saying this is bad in any way, Mel's just need a little bit more edge, and a few more english songs.
I've never listened to blues before, but I really like this album. Great!
