This is a quality recording with an interesting orchestration.
I particularly like "Power and lies" on the whole and the bass guitar sounds great on "River musing".
My only reproach could be the synth too accentuated in all the tracks to my taste.
Good stuff. Well done.

What a nice thought you had by adding this album to the Jamendo collection. This is an amazing live performance!
I love jazz and even more when blending with cultural/traditional music.
A big up to your Quartet!

PS: I am so pleased to be the first to review your artwork ;D
There are many reasons why I did not put a better mark.
Let me first start with the negative points on that album. Electronic sound in classical music can never match an orchestra as the feeling is close to platitude. This is my opinion, of course not necessarily shared by everyone, I reckon. An other weak point in this track is the absence of silence all along the whole track, quite disturbing. The next disappointment lays on the comparison with the greatly inspired first album "Daniel and Kingo".
This said, I still appreciated the whole composition as well rendered and I could imagine that the last two minutes of the tracks could be a good start for a more inspired piece of work more breathing (more silent phase with a touch of syncopation, maybe?).
Another potentiality could be to merge some non-electronic instrument such as flute, guitar and so on to give life to the whole composition. But this is just an opinion among others.
Keep doing the good work though and sorry to be a bit harsh but as we say: "spare the rod and spoil the child".

Jac, tu es un artiste de premier plan, caché dans un anonymat que je trouve injustifié mais tellement peu surprenant. En tout cas merci pour ce sublime partage (et je pèse mes mots).
Vivement le prochain album!
Big up from England!
François
Thanks for this lively session!
Live is something magical.
The musicians here have no fear and produce a sincere and perfectly executed sound work behind the apparent disorder from the background.
Keep on the good work :D
