I don't generally like metal or punk, but I like this. Fast paced, upbeat, and playful. Lots of variety between the tracks, and lots of fun to listen to (especially the second track, Mathilda).
My only complaint is that sometimes it seems a tad too fast.
Definitely worth listening to, probably worth a star.
This reminds me a bit of a crisp version of George Winston's Autumn. It sounds like there is the occassional stutter, but that may be me not following the music.
The album is arranged well, strong at the beginning and the end, (my favorite tracks are Meant To Be and Woods Of Chaos) and a touch slower and more reflective in the middle.
Overall, a great album listen to while your doing some desk work and need to drown out the rest of the world. A little too loud and direct for good background during dinner, I think.
Quite nice, and I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys piano.
It's interesting, but a little quiet and bland. The tracks run together after a while. I like the lyrics, and the underlying melodies, but I'd enjoy the music more if the delivery were spiced up a little. I realize that this isn't supposed to be upbeat or anything like that, it's just that now the general sound and feel of the music doesn't change much through the track, or even from track to track.
That said, if you're looking for something new that is slightly sad, not too fast, and not too loud, this is a good pick for you.
