I have a love/hate relationship with hip-hop (gangsta rap has contaminated my appreciation) but I find this album quite agreeable. The originality of the lyrics helps. :-)
Constructive criticism: Sporting Rhymes could use more vocal or instrumental complexity/variability.
I love the scratching in Down to Earth. (Can't get enough o' that sound.)
The other tracks are "merely" amazing, but "Desordere" is wonderful. It plays in the stereo soundscape, exploring the range of sound an electric guitar can produce -- yet it is gentle on the ears. The steady percussive beat combines well with the periodic guitar strums and small "tweaks". Definitely in my top-five-songs-ever list.
