Charlynne has a nice voice and actually sings in tune (no, that's NOT a given), and if this single were to run on radio or in a club it wouldn't be out of tune. And that's exactly the problem. The sound, the voice, the lyrics are all completely forgettable. It's like the 1000th rerun of any commercial ~RnB~ (The accronyme formerly translated as "Ryhtm and Blues", but apparently nowadays it's "Rap and Bass" ;). Still, for a first single, it's definitely not bad.
This is a great album! very relaxing, lots of middle-eastern influences. At times it nearly sounds like a game soundtrack ... in a very positive way. A "must-download"!
This album reminds me a lot of early Einstürzende Neubauten's weird and yet interesting soundscapes, a lot nearer to jazz than to techno or trance. Only thing I really regret is that I don't understand russian, so I can't comment on the spoken words.
Any chances for a translation of the lyrics? The speaker/singer definitely sounds like he feels whatever he is saying.
Oh .. And some more infos on the band would be really nice too.
