how shall i begin...?
just listened to this release twice and it absolutely hits the point and grabbed me by the balls.
THIS is dark-ambient at it's best, with some very cool and catchy industrial influences.
yesterday i played one of my favourite releases ever, Throbbing Gristle's HEATHEN EARTH, and 'METASTASIS' reminds me lot to this.
don't get me wrong: there is nothing copied, it's the mood, the raw energy that brings me to that point.
every track like a little epic nightmarish wall of sound, great production, very intense sounds - shit, this is almost perfect!!!!!
each new drone/ambient release at jamendo will from now on be measured at this new standard.
to make a long story short:
METASTASIS is a must-have-release for all drone/dark-ambient/industrial freaks.
do yourself a favour and keep an eye on this guy,
i think there is a lot more to come.
so, be prepared

das ist ja eigentlich gar nicht mein sound, aber
ich muss sagen, dass du dich mit dem track nicht verstecken musst.
da ist mehr schmackes drin als in so manch' anderen tracks dieser gattung.
gute leistung, macht spass und appetit auf mehr.
und auf jeden fall einen fetten bonus-punkt für das geniale cover (ehrlich) - super idee.

sometimes, there are things you do not expect...
and this album is one of these things.
earlier that day i was talking in the forum about the inflationary use of the label 'industrial',
and the great misinterpretation of the meaning of it.
and now there is an album, that is NOT labeled as industrial and it's closer to the point than so many others, pretending to do industrial music.
i, as a great THROBBING GRISTLE fan since...ever,
am really happy to find this jewel among the waste.
spinebending noise-loops, machine-like rythms colliding with droning noises in an almost perfect and 100% unique way - one of best releases of the last months/years/aeons.
creating a dark, unsettling atmosphere - as in a David Lynch movie (Eraserhead lurking in the shadows) - brilliant.
crowned by a very cool production this is a must-have-release for everyone who is open-minded for this kind of music.
if there is a cd - i definitely will buy it!!!
so, clean your ears, turn up your amplifiers and dive into this great wall of sound.
and take care of yourself...you might get lost.

mit abstand das langweiligste und uninteressanteste was ich in den letzten jahren gehört habe.
uninspiriertes geplänkel ohne ausstrahlung, die produktion ist auch nicht gerade das gelbe vom ei.
über die textlichen inhalte schweige ich mich aus, da kann sich jeder selbst ein bild machen.
ich zitiere mal den großen philosophen Homer Simpson:
laaaaaaaaangweilig.
dann lieber 'ne schlechte black-metal platte.

blues is not my favourite music, not at all...
but...
this piece of music is something different.
my first impression was - and this is very positive - oooh, sounds like the good ol' INKA BABIES (if anybody knows what i'm talkin' about)...
i love the atmosphere of this track, a perfect soundtrack for a dirty little fucked up italo western - great!
close your eyes and you can see the tumbleweeds rollin' through a dusty stinky town, while a psychotic john wayne is lurking in the shadows...
aaaaaaaaaaaaand, the next thing i had in mind(ok, it was my wife that brought me on the way)was (attention: mega-compliment) PINK FLOYD!!!
as in the cool FLOYD tracks when mr. gilmour is doin' these unbelievable solos...
not a copy of the Floyd sound, no, never,
but sooo atmospheric and sliding and crawling...
yes, this is great music

Man On The Living Road - D E M O
ladies and gentleman....
let me introduce you to the universe of ''Man On The Living Road''.
i found this release by chance, it caught my eye with it's simple and straight cover artwork.
and what i found after unzipping the files was a real great surprise in the most positive way.
tagged as ''rock, experimental, industrial, cinematographical, math '' , i thought i knew exactly what will come out of the speakers.....
but i was fuckin' wrong!!!!!
this is definitely NOT the usual stuff, this is a brillant piece of sound, made with heart and soul.
this guy - Felipe, out of Bogota, Colombia - is on the way to create his own little universe
within the music-scene.
while listening to this ep, i was reminded on lots of great musicians - let me make that clear:
this sound is unique and no copy of any other artist, i only tell you 'bout this to give you an explanation - sometimes i think of 'Pitch Shifter' and their famous 'Desensitized' album, a minute later visions of the wobbling guitar sound of the early 'My Bloody Valentine' are raising in my mind, i hear 'Cure-a-like' guitars....and so much more.
but all these impressions are not superficial, 'cause in the very first way i hear ''Man On The Living Road''.
it's heavy and it's emotional, it floats and drifts, surrounding you, it crawls out of the speaker and in the next moment
it explodes in an remarkable way....
and it has a very cool sound, hard to believe that this is 'only' a demo
so if you are openminded and ready to explore ''Man On The Living Road''s microcosm, you will be rewarded with a phantastic piece of extraordinary music.
i can not / will not mark any track as the best or something like that, this is a massive unit - so listen at once!!!
for me, Felipe has created one of the most impressive releases of this year.
