Really good album, actually. Voice reminds me a bit of Sting, and the musicianship reminds me of an un-pretentious Led Zeppelin.
I'd rate this higher if there was more. Get some more music up man. Especially if its of this caliber. This builds beautifully, and would be brilliant in a movie. It reminds me a bit of some of the instrumental music of Badly Drawn Boy.
This was the most amazing hour and a half of my day. It is somewhere between Pink Floyd's "A Saucerful of Secrets" and "Obscured by Clouds." It is an absolutely uplifting album. Thank you.
I chuckled when I read "folk-core" in the description and some of the reviews that talked about the marriage of Folk and rock as if were something new. (Google Dylan-Judas, or listen to the Band for that).
This however, is something wonderfully different. It can sound a bit jam bandy, like Dave Matthews Band on a good night, or Red Hot Chili Peppers at their slipperiest.
And the fact that its all traditional songs with new, modern arrangements is mind blowing. I never wanted to shout "Yo Ho Ho and a bottle of rum!" quite so much.
Wow, those two tracks were pretty sweet.
Great little EP. Make more!
This one will blow the cobwebs out. For fans of Tool, Mars Volta, general prog/punk/Malmsteen/melts in your brain kind of stuff.
They might sound a lot like The Cure, but I think I like this little EP a whole lot better than I liked The Cure's last album.
Wow, bad ass record. This is one of things I wished I'd heard years ago.
Bad ass. Thank you.
