After quite a few close listens, I must say that I really enjoyed listening to the whole of the tracks on the aptly-titled "Happens In The City", which perfectly captures the typical mood of loneliness and melancholy you get when night comes in big swarming cities. "All back in now" is definitely a stand-out track, with its delicate fingerpicking craftfully intertwined with dark, brooding beats. All in all, it is a very good and solid record, somewhat influenced by the likes of Massive Attack and Depeche Mode at their darkest.
Impressive music!
Your album is the first one I have ever downloaded from Jamendo. What a treat! I am definitely looking forwards to hearing more of your music.
That record is a gem in which Darkened Escape displays an amazing gift for breath-taking melodic flashes of brilliance. A deeply personal universe in which anyone should definitely linger on - actually the reason I give it only 4 and a half stars is that I am definitely looking forwards to listening to some more forthcoming music by Darkened Escape's mastermind!
