Really rare : in these days we have the burned out "stars",rich kids, and numerous awful amateours.
Rare to hear something professonal, still not sterile!
I myself trying to so something similar,but...well,I'm Hungarian. And
the better you are,the more ignored here.
All the best!
Keep up your unique sound!
Vik
I like this stuff - all this different sounds, and styles brought together professionally.
Also liked the piano, and the chord changes.
...
Some of this music would sound great as a movie sound track.
...
All the best!

I just wrote an other review, how hard to find some happy music in these sad days.
Well - this is something really happy, perfect for partyes...and I've always loved to play this kind o' blues, too. :)
Nice, calmed stuff - I felt like sitting in some jazz club in the early 60s,drinking red wine! :)
Finally some new sound in jazz - people seem to be afraid of finding new ways of expression:the same "good old" sounds coming from everywhere.
But you are full of great ideas, making a definitly unique sound. This is very inspireing.
Don't forget to stop by for a jam,if around...unfortunetly I live in Hungary, and we don't even have any jam sessions here in the last few decades...so mainly I work by myself, putting tracks on each other, trying to come out with some new stuff, too.Welcome to check these out,if you wish(on JazzVision,YouTube,or MySpace, under my name.)
And well...I can totally understand the "sadness" of your music. After Bill Chase's band had that plane crash in 1974,happy music almost died out from this planet. :)
I kind of liked almost the whole album the way it is - specially the first 4 tracks, and some of the last ones.I also liked the style of the guitar solos(reminding me some of Zappa's stuff).I also found a couple of relly good ideas in sudden changes.
I'd expect more colorful guitar sounds do (maybe some effects,or a guitar syntetizer...
It reminded me a lot of the music of the late 60s,early 70s,and this is a great reason itself to like it. :)
I'd rate it up to 8,5 stars,or points,or whatever,but I'll give 10 to balance the underratings.
I love this kind of music, and I wish I'd know someone to jam with in this style! But I live in Hungary, originally apostrofed as a "jazzist",and the better musicians already escaped from here. And jazz is kind of emptied out in the last 20 years (except very few real talents).
So I started to work threw the net, making my last album with a Peruian guitarist.
Still missing live music really bad!
So feel welcomed to stop by for a jam,if you around!
I wish you all the success - you deserv it! :)
