I was not expecting too much: all I wanted was good, well-prepared and carefully played music. This is what I got, and I'm sure this album is going to grow on me.
What I really liked about the whole album is this: with modest means and simple ideas, the compositions manage to come across as spacious, dynamic and (at times) enchanting. I'm especially keen on the first part of the album - the latter part sometimes feels like it's been forcibly "stitched" to Emona fragments.
The music made me smile a few times, and appreciate the beauty of the idea of a woman and her piano. Which, overall, is what music is here to do. Good work, Maya.
