Slickly produced and so-pop-it-hurts (good). Great mixing of many elements (from whistling, a sprinkle of rab, you name it, but always pop).

The lyrics are a bit blah, but the music, production and variety make up for it in spades.

Love it!

Sure, it may not have much of a melody...rhythm... harmony..beat, pitch, tone, lyrics or any discernable musical qualities whatsoever, but when these pretentious fluffy dice extras are stripped away, what's left is raw, heartfelt, edgy and aimed straight at the soul.

I found myself carried away to another world, with padded walls and pretty blue pills twice a day. Doctor says that when I get out I can listen to this album again... when he's not watching. Gotta go. It's feeding time.

After Wurfie relistens Josh albums a bunch of a hundred times, Wurfie starts to wonder if Josh albums make him weak of knees only because he is knowing them so well after silly relistening counts.

Then Josh puts out a shiny new ( well, aged-like-fine-wine) album and BAMS! More super juicy, woodwardy, yumness!

Can't Fight the Sea bearhugs you up and plunges you in uberfast. The Spirit World prods you naughtily with sharp satires. Soak up each song dreamily right up to an unexpected, anthemy, bopster surprise in Waiting Takes Time (Wurfie LOVES surprises! :D)

Thanks muchly Mr Woodward! You can be Wurfie's wingman any day!

Starts off with a zesty, piquant bite. Pleasant oaky aroma ending off with metronome's punchy, peppery kick.

An excellent appetiser to go with wine and cheese.

I can haz second course?

Any album that cans be truly tagged with both "chillout" and "heavy metal" is going to be something funsy.

Outworld III tickles and it dances, it pounds and it rocks. Juicy epicness as the thunder of the battle gods clash inside your head.

Wurfie's thunking Queen and Vangelis had themselves a lovechild, and the kid is slick!

Happy, happy. Joy, joy!

Passionately delivered with intelligent, crafted lyrics. Music to move your heart as it gets you thinking.

Why must you make such excellent music, and not tour where I live?
Why must you release it all for free so I have no excuse to not listen?
Why must your songwriting be so damn good I can't turn this album off (don't ask how many times I've had this album on repeat)?
Why must your singing match the music so perfectly that I find it hard not to sing along at work?
Why must you make the track "BorderBlaster" so achingly sad and beautiful that I have trouble listening to other music now?
Why must you play the banjo so well that I find myself driven to spend time away from family and friends practicing my 5 string?

Why Josh? WHY?!?!!

You're an evil man. Please keep it up. :)

(...and hurry up and tour Toronto. Gah! How selfish to keep yourself elsewhere! I'd recommend the Hillside music festival *hint* ;) )
