Very nice NuJazz music of a kind that can be found in Saint-Germain-des-Prés Café compilations.
Hard work has been done with mixing of all those samples, the result is impressive and very successful except for the drums in the 3d track which are not looped properly (should've been a bit slower), and the brush loop in the 4th track that cuts off too abruptly, especially at 2:07 point. Also transitions in some other tracks could've been more smooth. Besides those very slight imperfections the music is great and sound quality is very good.

Zugegeben, nach dem Reinhören in das erste Stück hatte ich mir nicht viel erwartet. Doch nach den etwas schwächeren ersten Stücken (z.B. Mix-Fehler in Stück 04, zu dominante Beats und etwas zu "schematisch" klingende Stücke) weiß der Künstler v.a in der zweiten Album-Hälfte mit stets raffinierteren Arrangements und feineren Übergängen zu überzeugen und schafft es dabei, verschiedenste Elemente aus diversen Jazz-Genres wohltuend zu integrieren.

+ Stück 07 (Golden Sand) besticht mit einem funkigem Groove a là Down to the Bone und sticht deutlich hervor in positivem Sinne

- Stück 01 (those eyes) ist der klare Schwachpunkt, erscheint mir unausgereift

Fazit: ein durchaus gelungenes und abwechslungsreiches Album!

Sehr gelungene entspannende Scheibe. Ich mag es.
Auch schön das es wieder anderst klingt als die anderen Alben.

This talented young kid has stepped away from the drum and bass which blended nicely into previous work and has gone into what i (maybe incorrectly) call lounge.

At times laid back, at times big band, and often groovy :-)

Now you are the position as a newcomer to download all of his albums to get a feel for his diversity.

This may become my favourite of his - too early to say, but very good, seductive in places - time for many re-listens.....
