This collection of songs I had finished before starting community college in the Fall of 2002. It features live instruments mixed with synthetic sounds--which I believe keeps it fresh sounding. You'll find that some of the drum sounds are samples from a Yamaha MIDI synthesizer, samples from Propellerhead Reason, or from real drums. Syntrillium Cool Edit Pro (now Adobe Audition) was the mixing software used.
The first track, Espionage, is designed to have a tight low-end. Listening to it on small speakers or most headphones won't do it justice. The style is supposed to be like that of a popular secret agent man. Do be careful as the beginning is explosive!
The Biggest Shot in the West, the biggest innuendo I could come up with, should sound like a funky track likely to be found on popular video programs with adult themes.
The last track, Inspiration, is a reprise of an earlier track, Abandoned. It's essentially the same score, but has a different mood in my opinion.
A few of the songs are way too long and could be re-composed to be more entertaining, but if you're not paying full attention you won't catch this.
The songs are well mixed, but given only rudimentary mastering. I was the only artist and technician to contribute to this work, which means I've heard each one of these tracks about a thousand times, and now it's time for everyone else to listen.
Very nice. I´m listen the three albuns and like in special the soft songs.
Congratulations and thanks a lot.
I have been listening to all three of Ryan's album here on Jamendo. Both at home, and at work. All three albums are works that you can get lost in. Very nice job all the way around.
