I [b]Men in Route[/b] sono un gruppo musicale di [placeformed]Padova[/placeformed] nato nel dicembre del [yearformed]2005[/yearformed].

I Men in Route sono nati quando quattro amici, accomunati dalla solidità della loro esperienza scoutistica, hanno deciso di darsi alla musica.
La prima uscita, documentata addirittura con un DVD, vede Giovanni Tamburini alla chitarra e alla voce, Giovanni Danieli alla chitarra elettrica, Marco Ripellino allo Djembè e Giovanni Marcuzzo alle prese con un basso prestatogli pochi giorni prima. L'esecuzione, datata 31 dicembre 2005, dà fiducia e i quattro decidono di intraprendere la carriera musicale.
Così com'è, il gruppo non può funzionare. I quattro chiedono allora a Matteo, trombettista e amico storico, di partecipare. In 5 mesi cominciano a costruire una scaletta di cover di vario tipo, considerando i gusti di tutti (si passa da [artist]Jovanotti[/artist] ai [artist]Cure[/artist]). Il 23 maggio 2006 in occasione del compleanno del cantante, si aggiunge alla formazione suo cugino Luca, abile al piano ma soprattutto al sassofono.

I sei sono pronti per la prima uscita ufficiale in pubblico, col nome di [b]Men in Route[/b], in origine pensato da Zob per una band reggae ([i]Men in roots[/i]). La prima uscita, prima dei celebri [artist]Mercanti di Liquore[/artist], rinfocola gli entusiasmi, pur evidenziando i limiti dell'acerba formazione.

Una band non è tale senza un batterista e nell'estate entra nel gruppo Alberto, già direttore di coro e pianista, che compra una batteria e comincia ad allenarsi. Nel frattempo altri concerti.

Durante l'inverno 2006 il gruppo passa molte ore alle prove introducendo un certo numero di propri pezzi, a rimpiazzo delle cover. I pezzi soddisfano e sono quasi sempre il risultato di un lavoro collegiale.

Attualmente la band sta scrivendo e arrangiando pezzi propri. La caratteristica dei MiR è quella di rifuggire da un genere uniforme, passando dall'[tag]acustico-melodico[/tag] a sonorità al limite del [tag]punk[/tag],continuando a comporre brani che abbiano la caratteristica di essere orecchiabili e ballabili(eredità tipiche dello [tag]ska[/tag] e dello [tag]swing[/tag]. Un forte contributo, in termini di esperienza musicale, viene da Rizia, già trombettista e chitarrista dei [artist]Biderben[/artist], mentre il gruppo inizia ad avere all'attivo un buon numero di concerti di successo.
Un ulteriore  aggiunta viene con l'arrivo di Marco, già fratello di Luca, nell'ottobre 2007, alle tastiere,mentre pochi mesi dopo Stefano prende il posto di Alberto alla batteria.

Dopo due anni di attività hanno lanciato il loro primo demo: [i][album artist=Men in Route]'Ndemo![/album][/i] e presentano una formazione di ormai nove elementi.

A Novembre 2008 viene ufficializzata l'uscita dal gruppo di Giovanni "Zob" Danieli,che lascia il gruppo serenamente, per ragioni personali.A sostituirlo viene chiamato Mirco Celin,

ENGLISH VERSION

Men in Route were born in Padova in December 2005.

It all started with four friends, drawn together by years of boy scouting, who decided to take on some music.
They first go public on New Year's Eve, December 2005. Behind the mic and his guitar is Giovanni Tamburini, accompanied by Giovanni (Zob) Danieli at the electric guitar, Marco (Ripe) Ripellino at the Djembe and Giovanni Marcuzzo handling a bass guitar lent to him a few days earlier. The success gives them confidence and they decide to go on.
As it was the sound didn't work. The four friends asked Matteo, trumpet player and longtime friend, to join them. In five months they start putting together a number of cover songs that mirror the musical tastes of each one and that range from Italian singer Jovanotti to the longstanding The Cure. On their second public appearance, for the singer's birthday party, on the 23rd of May 2006, his cousin Luca joins the formation, skilled at the piano but especially at the saxophone.

They were now ready for their first official gig, with the name of Men in Route, thought in origin by Zob for a reggae band (Men in roots). Their performance, opening the concert of the renowned Mercanti di Liquore, renews the enthusiasm while showing the limits of the still immature formation.

A band isn't such without a drummer, so in the summer Alberto, already choir director and pianist, joins the group, buys a drum set and starts practicing. More performances follow.

During winter 2006 the band spends many hours working on introducing a number of original songs to replace the covers. The new songs are well received and are almost always the result of a teamwork.

At the moment, the band is writing and a working on their own pieces. The characteristic of MiR is to avoid a uniform style, ranging from acustic-melodic tones to more ska-punkish sounds to neo-swing liveliness, the top objective being to keep songs catchy and danceable. A strong contribution, in terms of musical experience, comes from Rizia, former trumpet and guitar player for Biderben, and the band starts counting quite a number of successful gigs.
A further addition comes with Luca's pianist brother Marco, in October 2007, and a few months later Stefano (Pich) takes Alberto's place behind the drum set.

After two years of playing together they released their first demo: 'Ndemo! (Veneto dialect for "Let's Go!") and present a formation of nine elements:
