Hi everyone. We are well aware that your time means a lot to you but please, forget about yourself for a second and let us show you how we feel about music and life... We started to play together in 1999 and well, we made several recordings during those years. After the first one we realized that we were playing childish stuff, and as soon as we heard the second one we realized we were under someone else’s influence (that was something we definitely had to get rid of, as soon as we could). However, we also realized that we were growing up, comparing our demos to each other. We started to work harder, because we wanted to turn ourselves into music. There was just one huge problem: in our western way of thinking we are used to giving names, colours and meanings to almost everything and most bands love to say “I’m this, I do that, we are hardcore, we are pop, we play black metal…” and so on. For us there was a slight difference: we couldn’t just say we were playing crossover, we couldn’t give ourselves a label. I’m not saying that this is “original” or “new”, but I can say that Naadir is part of a movement of bands that are trying to do something undefined and unpredictable. Because the worst thing in this world is lazy music. Music as an art has to be reaction, creation and not simply a fashion, when it becomes like that it loses all its real power. This is a warpath. We spend a lot of time on our songs making them "make sense”. We love doing this and we get better everyday playing together but our mutation hasn’t stopped yet. Our last demo, Synapticollapse, is a good start to understand our way of thinking - but it is not enough. It’s a good work but we are better than that. Recordings are like a diary for us. A place to keep memories of what we were - but we are always looking forward and we know that we are not just that. After a long time spent in our rehearsal room we are currently playing live as much as we can and during summer 2007 our attention has been on contests and competitions for emerging bands: we finished first twice and we are proud of it, of course, even if we think that this is only a good start. Now that we know that someone believes in us, we have to do more!
