Of the I’ is an emerging band from London, trying to spread their musical message by providing demos of their music, freely, over the internet. The band’s first album is provisionally titled ‘12 Sequences of a Storm’. Their aim is to create a new kind of sound that invokes elements derived from spirituality, philosophy, psychology, each member’s personal experiences, as well as the music that has inspired them. Of the I’s sound can be described as progressive, melodic, experimental rock. Of the I are currently completing their first album, as well as rehearsing for upcoming shows in London.
The first completed demos for the album, recorded in an apartment in London, were compiled into an EP at the request of members of demonoid.com, and uploaded as a torrent. Due to an overwhelming positive response, and a desire to show that sharing art is good for both artists and the audience, the band is releasing this EP all over the internet, calling it the Demonoid EP to show their love for the site that inspired and assisted them in sharing their own music via p2p networks. These tracks will be re-recorded later, once the Of The I enters the studio, as part of their full-length album. Until then, enjoy the music!
