Bon son, bonne qualité, bonne musique, gros clavier, grosse guitare et grooosse voix ;)
Le style est original et met le feu, ca doit envoyer sur scène !
A l'heure où j'écris ces mots, l'album est 57ème de la semaine, mais qu'attendons nous pour faire monter tout ca ??!!

Bands wie diese sind ein Grund dafür, weshalb ich mich in den letzten Monaten immer mehr in der freien Musikszene umgehört habe als auf die Tipps zu Neuerscheinungen im normalen Musikmarkt zu hören. Hier ist eine Band, die ohne Rücksicht auf Verkaufsmöglichkeiten ihre musikalische Nische verteidigt. Und die heißt ganz einfach: Party. Die Juanitos um den Organisten Mr Juan erkennt man dabei sofort an dem rauhen Garagensound und der allgegenwärtigen Hammond. Auch die trockene Gitarre von Bob Wizmann setzt sich schnell in den Ohren fest. Doch welche Bereiche der Musik sie mit ihren Alben gerade durchmessen, das ist jedes Mal eine Überraschung.
Auf Soul Afrika kann man daher (ok, auch hier werden Trends verfolgt...) ne Menge Anklänge an afrikanische Beats hören. Aber auch Reggae-Grooves, ein wenig Dub und natürlich jede Menge Funk - und das alles in gewohnter rauher Garagenmanier und ohne Politur für Radiotauglichkeit. Das ist Garagen-Soul, wie er auf jeden Fall bei Parties für gehörige Action auf der Tanzfläche sorgen wird. Solch ein Album hatte ich seit Monaten von ihnen erhofft, nachdem mich Vol. 2 ihrer Greatest Hits doch ein wenig enttäuscht hatten.

Although this album did open up slowly the result was very good finally. It is what does matter actually. Beside references regarding the music of people of African descent living in other parts of the world (samba, reggae, and dub) my favorite issue are afrofuturistic soul funk tunes as if Juan Naveira would pay tribute to Fela Kuti. All these psychedelic tunes are awesome.

Wirklich gutes Album!
Ich höre inzwischen lieber Musik auf Jamendo also den ganzen Kram der "Stars". Hier findet man wirklich immer was was einem gefällt und dieses Album gehört definitiv dazu ;)

Oh baby, shake and groove to this cracker of an little gem of an album. Filled with funky, reggae, rock steady tracks, with great infectious, fun filled strong vocals. And interesting lyrics to keep you up moving and shaken to this tip top, funkydelic soundscapes of awe and total enjoyment guaranteed.Feel the music take you over and get into this as soon as it starts, after you just clicked press play...

Una banda con una clara identidad latina que se expresa en francés (no siempre, también algo en español) y explora en los mundos del mambo, el cha-cha-chá, la rumba y todos los folclores con aromas a calypso. Una música ideal para acompañarla de piña colada y para que nos lo pasemos estupendamente moviendo los pies inevitablemente contagiados del ritmo de Juanitos!!!!!
