Softspace ( with 2 accounts here, there's softspace and Softspace :) has a rather great production lately. This album is different: after the quite disturbing openingtrack we are getting superb and joyful krauty tracks , giving a new side from this artist. The tracks are shorter and punchier and soundd great, with an outstanding jab inbetween. Very fine pulsating electronica!
I'm so glad this classic is available again. In this (one of his best) albums the whole spectre of Arne's talent gets visible: in lyrics, in songmaking, in deep sounds, the dark edge and in intense musicmaking. The originals have been slightly remixed, sound more clear and give a great introduction to this multitalent. I must admit that "Flucht" as title and the track "Projekt Demon" were a great influence on my JamatriX album, and so I am very pleased to hear a new version of the Demon. This album gives a high energetic side of Arne I like very much, though also his singer-songwriting sides of later albums are very appealing... Good having you back......
This surely is one of the most interesting bands here on Jamendo, great remixes of known tracks, a beautiful new piece. In the woods is definitely one of the best tracks available. Everybody should head to Andorra, to see this band live.... meanwhile you get a great preview with this album. Andorra is a little heaven in Europe. Thank you for again great moments....
Now this is a brilliant album, dark but not depressing. Superb soundlayers, very dense and then again extremely light and leaving open spots to discover the sheer beauty of these tracks. Here experience, craftmanship and emotion are combined and reflect the dark sides men can encounter. And overcome. Xmas never will be the same again. Harvest is a dark oasis. The Mothman Hill is an emotional ending. These are really songs. This monk can sing. A class release. Only pity its an ep and not an album, but i'll wait....Thank you
Very meditative work, starts promising.Remember gets you down. What follows is melodic in line with tradition of Patrick Bernhardt(great,as long as he doesn't sing). Occasionally with nice modest electronic effects(except the flanging..). For lovers of heavenly new age its a nice relaxing while, though maybe a bit sweet. Sleeping, dreaming and out of time are fine, eyes closed. The silence part is a forced rest towards musically very interesting reality until that popband starts screaming cosmic jazz..... Be aware, if you need a trip stop at silence :)
Great songs again, glad the texts are there so we can sing along. Again great clear musical play with often dramatic texts (translation!!!). Humor is following bloody serious lifesituations. Currywurst is an instant hit, LOL depicts a screenjunk brilliantly. Musically great, only wished you did the radiointerview as a single release, now i have to use the ffw button there. Another living german culture statue. Gratuliere...
Over 10.000 albums, and its getting harder and harder to discover in my opinion real free, experimental and even anarchistic music here. But its so good that Jamendo offers various styles, and here's one again. So far away from mainstream pop, but so close to real life. You can find everything from noise to free jazz and rock to even beautiful melodic parts, that show this artist is exploring every corner of music providing us a huge album full of great tracks, energy, passion and love for music. No easy listening here, but a sonic adventure that offers
big rewards at every playing. Only wonder if n.7 came out as intended, due to distressing hickups.
overall superb album.
great what you can get out and make of a dictaphonerecording. Impressive, way too short and extremely funny (on superb monitors...hehe). This is real fine free style, nice mixing, promising soundtreatment.
Pan again... at last!! Great minimalistic approach with full results. Lets your imagination float freely. These are sounds many composers and musicians would love to work with.Everyone makes his own world listening to this, so pan is the ideal virtual bandmember. This is very open, playable the whole day, very evocative, inspirational and a pleasure to listen to. Great rhytms too. Thanks!
Great relaxed ambient album, is doing all is needed to receive a great relaxing 30 minutes. Superb how Rob keeps his patience. Another guitarhero. On the couch.
KraftiM. A soundarchitect from Holland. Works with found sounds, fieldrecordings, voices, instruments, wavs & midi's and mixes & blends them in his own crossrhythmic style.
Some of my favs are Tim Hecker, Philip Jeck, Murcof, old Namlook and Tetsu Inoue, Mathias Grassow, Carl Stone , Francisco Lopèz, and a lot of Musique Concrète....
First appearances on Musictrade netlabel MT003 (Norberg Field Recordings) MT005 (Reqiems for a Submerged City), a tribute to New Orleans and MT010 (Ice Mustard). Next influenced by classic masterpieces from Schubert, Stravinsky, Messiaen. Lately developing both in ambient directions to catch the complexity of silence and more experimental rhythmic work rather to shift yer soul than move yer feet. The BackvieW album is a collection of these works, awaiting a next release at Musictrade.
Lately collaborating with electronic drummer/composer Justbase, also from the Netherlands. Featuring Justbase is released. After that the ep Solyuga is released, 2 dark tracks, and 2 collaborations with Japanese friends and english singer Geechi. And finally an extended cooperation with Krita Yuga, a sitarplayer from Japan, which resulted in the etSitara album, released in may 2007.
Next came the release of Ancient Species here on Jamendo, followed by the JamatriX Project, a virtual collaboration with 5 Jamendo artists.
News and extra releases you can find at www.myspace.com/KraftiM , where his first official solorelease came in november 2007 with a very expanded version of the etSitara release here on Jamendo.
You're very welcome there too.
