Yesterday's Conversation is a series of personal stories (real and imagined), told through music. There are many influences, including folk, rock and jazz, and there is always an attempt to do something new - not just retreading that same old path again...
An album mp3 package, along with a digital booklet, can be found here. Donations are gratefully accepted here. Any feedback is welcomed, either on this site, or by email.

----------------------------
What's Important is a love song, written for my wife.
Down to the valley is about that special place that every one has that, no matter where you are, you can return to.
Break from constraints is a song expressing my frustration at trying to create something new and not just revisit the same things again and again. I find this is the most difficult thing as a songwriter.
I got the idea for "beautiful day outside" when I was in Amsterdam, visiting Ann Frank house. It was such a moving experience, and I tried to imagine what it would be like for a family to be stuck in a small room and never go outside (or even make noise) for months and months.
Acquisition is a song about people getting carried away about owning stuff. We all do it, and we should at least be aware of this tendency. Let's get out and live life, and not get carried away with the nesting reflex.
I wrote Yesterday's conversation the day after a (not quiet a) first-date.
Anniversary is a song about love and the sorrow of losing a loved one.
Starting to die is a song I wrote to remind myself to never rest on my laurels. We've all got to keep better, because there's no staying still - when we stop getting better, we start getting worse.
Pure loving is (you guessed it!) another love song, but it also talks a bit about consumerism and a few other bits and bobs.
Depth and darkness was written when I was feeling low about humanity - how all our platitudes are really just a disguise for greed and power machinations.
